Venus is not a benevolent entity. It is an ancient malicious entity who has been around since the dawn of man and who personally does not care about the lives of mortals. It does not see mortals as beneath it but it does not see them as equal either. It is simply indifferent to them as to it mortals are just a food source like flies to a carnivorous plant. That isn’t to say Venus cannot form bonds of any means as it does have a small list of people it has attachments to but those more often than not are similar in nature of being ancient and or eldritch entities.

Much like “The Drifter” Venus’s purpose in participating in the ritual is frankly to eat its desired fill of victims. The wish is just a bonus really. But should it get one? Then its wish is for the patrons to become powerless mortals all so it can eat them.
