Let’s talk about the 4th house and its relationship to the other houses.
I’m researching and writing about Vertex in astrology, and I realized that there’s such a generalization for the houses especially the 4th house. I also think there’s a bit of a confusion here too.
4th house is often called the house of home. but it’s really the house of personal space. especially because it’s the direct square of your 1st house, the house of personal self. the opposite of the 1st house is 7th house and that’s the house of relationships and partnerships beyond the self. the opposite of 4th house and the direct squares of 1st and 7th house is the 10th house, the house of public self. These are the angles of your birth chart. Do you see the connection there?
the point of the 1st house is called AC
the point of the 7th house is called DC
the point of the 4th house is called IC
the point of the 10th house is called MC
4th house is often associated with home and family and while that’s true on a high level perspective it really deals with the personal space around you and the one’s you’re willing(or unwilling) to invite into your inner being. There’s a reason why the 4th house is considered the lowest point of a birth chart. because it’s the deepest parts of the person.

The Difference between Taurus and Capricorn.
(bear with this long post, it will be worth it!)
I find that these two astrological signs are constantly being compared - they are even considered one of the most compatible signs. Yes, both love financial security and know how to realistically achieve it. Both are definitely stubborn individuals who take immense pride in the work they do.
From what I’ve observed, Taurus and Capricorn aren’t as similar as they seem.
Taurus sees financial prosperity as a desire but Capricorn views financial stability as a necessity - it is a way to build a foundation to secure the future.
Taurus is naturally stubborn, while Capricorn is known to be stubborn for a reason. There is always a reason. This is why Capricorn finds it easier to make adjustments - a logical explanation can change Capricorn’s judgement. However, they will never be quick to admit this. Instead, they will reflect on themselves and quietly make self improvements.
As earth signs, Taurus and Capricorn are realistic and down-to-earth. Both also have rather strong moral worlds. Their difference is in expression and execution. Taurus tries to get their message across by converting others with verbal persuasion - they are almost always successful because they are so keen on it. A Taurus can become bitter if you are not willing to agree with or adhere to their customs. On the other hand, Capricorn tend to express themselves through action than words. They enjoy showing, rather than telling because they believe action is unquestionable, whereas words can be deceiving.
Both signs are extremely drawn to work, but never unconditional work. Both signs work for a purpose. Both expect to be given something in return for their efforts. However, Taurus takes pride in their work because they can see their success being useful in the long run, further adding to a sense of material security in the future. Capricorn takes pride for the sake of pride. Pride is somehow meaningful to Capricorn - it is not only an indication of increased security, but also a mood enhancer and self-esteem booster. Pride ensures Capricorn of his/her worth in the world.
Taurus’ work motive is money and material possessions. Capricorn’s work motive is status and sense of accomplishment.
Finally, the debate on which is the “happier” star sign. I, myself fall under the sun sign of Capricorn. I’ve met a fair number of Taurus’ before and I must say that Capricorn and Taurus’ most vital difference is their emotional worlds. Under the relatively “cool” exterior that Capricorns conceal themselves with, we are extremely sensitive and sentimental beings. We’re simply not the type to wear our hearts on our sleeves because we dislike being vulnerable and predictable. This reason stems from the need to maintain security. By contrast, what you see is what you get with Taurus. They appear cool on the outside - that’s cause they genuinely are. Taurus is generally more out-going, but are true introverts by all means. They are definitely the merrier one of the two. Sadly, Capricorn is the most misunderstood sign, therefore we are prone to social misunderstandings, isolation and inner conflict due to our sensitive nature. However, once we develop a secure foundation to “grow” on, Capricorn can become close to invincible, both socially and emotionally.

This is some good stuff!
We all have an attachment style that impacts how we are in relationships with family, friends, romantic partners, and others. Exploring attachment styles and providing support to make the necessary changes is one of my first places I intervene in my practice with clients.
Our attachment style is formed in our early developmental years by our caretakers. It can be fluid throughout the years as you’re impacted by life experiences. Attachment styles aren’t fixed but they can take a lot of inner work and healthy relationships to change.
Most people tend to be a mixture of them all ☺️
A crazy writing tip - guaranteed to increase your writing speed!
Have you ever been super excited about an idea, but when you open your laptop (or grab a pen and paper) and start writing, the words suddenly fail you? You stumble through the sentences, hitting frequent blocks, not sure what to write next? Fret not! Here’s a simple trick that I use that has helped me SO much.
- Start writing as you normally would.
- When you hit a block, and your brain starts wracking itself for words, don’t waste time! Simply type ‘writesomething’ and move on. It can be a word, or an entire sentence. You can use this when you can’t think of the appropriate description or dialogue.
- A lot of times we end up losing our writing mojo because we’re bogged down by these tiny details that we haven’t figured out. At the same time, we want to keep writing and get to the good parts of the plot!
- Once you’ve used this trick, you can come back to your text when you feel you’re in a better state of mind to fill in those details. Simply search ‘write something’ on your word processor
- Then flit through your document, replacing it with the details you’d previously not filled.
And that’s it! It’s so simple, but will immediately boost your writing speed. it’s perfect for people who are working on their first draft, or have just started writing their story.
