There’s a pretty elegant solution: pick any two of the five points, and consider the (unique) great circle passing through both of them. Of the remaining three points, at least two must lie in the same one of the two closed hemispheres defined by this great circle (essentially by the pigeonhole principle), so the closed hemisphere containing those two (or three) points, in addition to the original two, has the desired property.
