They have fully articulated shoulders, elbows, and wrists joints. Same goes for legs, knees, ankles, and shoe point. Their heads and wrists have ball joints so they can turn in all directions (except Horus who's head is anchored by wires) They do lack articulated fingers, and instead have a set of hand mold they come with to swap between.

Sanguinius wings are especially articulated. In each wing three feather segments connected by joints, so they can achieve different levels of spreading/closing. And the joint that connects the wing itself to his back is a ball that can turn the wing inwards towards him or outwards.

The biggest limitation on their movement is their armour; the thick plates, connected wires, and long capes can hinder them and make sitting and other poses very awkward to achieve.

They suffer from balance issues, where the more complicated the pose, the more difficult it'll be for them to stand on their own. They come with small transparent stands that can help with the problem.

But... they can definitely hug :)

For Sanguinius and ascended Horus it's tricky due to the size difference. So either:

A) Horus picks up wingless Sanguinius in a bear hug (too heavy to be picked up with the wings)

B) Sanguinius stands on a table :P to hug Horus

On the other hand, it's much easier for primachs not juiced up on chaos to hug ex: Lion and Sanguinius

the bird is finally here! and the final verdict is that Horus in fact CAN fully carry Sanguinius in his claw

but... and there's always a but, at the cost of Sanguinius's wings. Otherwise he becomes too heavy for Horus to lift or even fit in there

Symbolic isn't it? That the only way for Horus to have Sanguinius in the palm of his hand, is by ripping his wings off
