• volunteering with a crisis hotline in a domestic violence shelter

• volunteering as a hospital victim advocate for victims of sexual assault

• babysitting 3 kids part time. Still not sure I even like kids.

• volunteering as a Links Mentor for military spouses

• still haven’t set a date or venue for our wedding ceremony

• missing my Dad more than words could ever express

• still sending my mother gifts every holiday because I’m afraid of the guilt I’d face if I didn’t

• still teaching out to my stepdad who thinks I have a ‘new life’ now... and I guess I kind of do

• visiting my sister in Virginia, haven’t seen her in 14 years

• going to the gym at least once a day

• I have a dog now and I think I actually like him

• lost 14 pounds and hoping to lose another 10

• talking about moving out of our home and into an RV

• reconnecting with old friends and learning how to heal

• went to the first ever Lowcountry Pride and was grateful for a lack of crowds & ex’s!!

• I miss wine all of the time

• relatively depressed because I can’t surprise Jess with getaways or adventures anymore because I’m broke

• successfully binged GoT, 50 shades of grey series, and the twilight series all over again
