This is the fire starter! They have a warm heart, but also seems to have a darker side. As they grow and evolve, they seem to develop a connection with the spirit world.
Why are they like this? Maybe their dex entries should help enlighten us:
Frinny #004:
"Frinny lives off a diet of ash, scorching leaves with carefully aimed puffs of fire. They are very generous, offering toasted berries to others. Their fins are weak, but useful for swatting away bugs."
Cry:
Torchoof #005:
"This Pokemon can gallop for days without stopping. Torchoof is quite timid, but will stand up for others in need. It can accurately shoot fireballs while moving at speeds of up to 40 Mph. It develops a more nocturnal lifestyle as it ages, perhaps to avoid conflict."
Cry:
Neighance #006:
"Neighance uses its snout to suck up souls to keep them warm and safe before they depart to the afterlife. They can call upon these spirits to heal and reinvigorate the wounded. It is said that jumping across a river on the back of a Neighance will lead one on the path of enlightenment."
Cry:
Fascinating! It's seems these Pokemon know how to be there for others, whether its the brightest day or the darkest night. But what can they do for you in battle?

That's quite a diverse set of tools! It seems this Pokemon learns some new ghostly moves too:
Spirit Blessing is a 100% accuracy Ghost type status move where the user calls upon a spirit for healing aid, healing the target for 50% of their max health. This move can target any single Pokemon, including an ally, an opponent, or themselves.
Soul Gyre is an 80 power, 90% accuracy Ghost type special move that traps the user in a raging whirlwind of souls that deals 1/8th the targets health for 4-5 turns. (It's a Thunder Cage clone)
That's the fire starter! That could only mean one thing:
One starter remains...
