So we gonna run this gimmick every game? Sit all the started and the bench lets a team go on a run.

The issue is that people are treating “finished 28th in player voting” as if it means “players ranked her as the 28th-best guard,” and that’s not how the voting worked.

Players didn’t rank every guard from 1-40. They only voted for their top 4 just like fans did. If most players had the same 4 guards on their ballots, those players would rack up almost all the votes.

So Azzi finishing 28th doesn’t mean there were 27 guards ahead of her in some overall ranking. It just means she received the 28th-most top-4 votes. Those are two completely different things.

Yeah idk where people got that from. And there’s a pretty big difference between the two. It means she appeared on the 28th most ballots which isn’t terrible when there’s only 4 guard spots. Which honestly needs to be changed. There should be 4 for each position and 2 extra for whoever. It’s hard to get a guard starting spot with the current format.

I wouldn’t be too pressed about where Azzi ranked for player voting. Hella players literally pick standouts and then fill the rest with their buddies. She’s a rookie (a quiet one at that) so I’m not shocked she didn’t appear on many. I think her media ranking was honestly better than expected tho. She still has a decent shot at being a reserve. And if not she will 100% be one in the future. I really hope she at least does the 3 point contest. I can see her being the first rookie to win it.

Why did they change the rules??? A'ja and Paige as captains would have been sooooo fun!!! It would have brought even more eyes to the W cuz those two are so funny. We would have had the best time just watching them talk absolute non sense 😭

They changes it for the 30th anniversary. But part of me thinks they know they would’ve had hella people complaining if CC won it again. We can get Paige and A’ja next all star. But yeah watching them select would’ve been comedy gold.

So Paige would’ve been a captain if they didn’t change the damn rules😑
