A new collaboration between local Altrincham musician Patrick Green and Altrincham based Japanese artist and print maker Yoko Isami has emerged this year (2016).
The project has been titled x3. Three singles contain two tracks written and recorded by Patrick, with three hand-printed designs made by Yoko. Artist and photographer Mike Browne, also based in Altrincham, has joined the project as official photographer for promotional material and additional art involvement.
Currently playing solo. Patrick has seven albums available to download as a solo artist online and one EP with Navajo (CD/two tracks available online). Officially he has released four solo albums on CD - including a box set containing the ‘Kotu’ Animation on DVD. His first official album Void has sold out in CD format and can only be purchased online.
Patrick has gigged extensively in Newcastle and Durham. He has played a number of gigs in Manchester both solo and in various band line-ups. He performed at the Lymm Festival in 2013. He has made a live radio appearance on Radio Teesdale and has been a featured ‘Local Artist’ on Salford City Radio (2015) with his band track ‘Can and Cannot Do’.
He continues to practice, write and record in his hometown of Altrincham.
For the past six years has been making linocut prints as Meadowlark Prints. Yoko sells work online from her folksy shop and also at the Altrincham Market – (Vintage, Handmade and Producers) on her stall. She creates cards and prints that mainly incorporate animals and nature and is inspired by Scandinavian design.
Since 1989 has been a design consultant with own business and has wide experience in many areas of design. He has had a long-term passion for photography that developed from Art Foundation in Manchester. Mike continues to collaborate and take images in a studio in Altrincham and further afield. He also has an interest in other areas of art, including painting and sketching.
