I got drunk at a Halloween party and someone tried to explain football to me and I was simply caught like a deer in the headlights trying to make sense of the gibberish coming from this man's mouth. Are we swifties trying to...learn sports...now?

So...QUESTIONS FOR FOOTBALL DUDES AND FOOTBALL DUDES ONLY (Bonus points if you are Travis Kelce but I don't think he has a Tumblr so that is not a requirement)

1. Does...every single person have a position? Like...one job the whole time? I'd ask you to go into detail about all of these but like I ain't got all day either.

2. Why is it in yards??? It's an American game right? So why do they do yards????? Why do the yards matter????????? Explain this to me like I'm 5

4. How long does an average game last

5. I know what a touchdown is, but how do you get a field goal? What is a field goal? Why is a field foal?

6. Do you have to wash your own outfits (costumes? Uniforms??????)

7. I've seen a few people get hurt, is there always a medic at every game? I'm assuming yes??

8. How effective are cups actually at preventing groin injuries?

9. I don't understand how trading works, like when one team trades a player or whatever. Why do they do that, do the players get offended or butt hurt when that happens, etc...give me the full tea I want all the details.

10. Is there ever drama...like do teammates ever not get along? Does the coach have to step in and be like IF YOU TWO CANT FIGURE THIS OUT, YOU'RE BOTH ON THE BENCH ON SUNDAY NIGHT ! Do opposing teams ever go beyond rivalries? Have there been actual fights?? I'm just curious

11. What is an average day of training like, and what is an average day of recovery like? Do they get access to like massage therapy and IV vitamins and whatnot? I'd love to know. I'd also love to know their average diet.

12. Why do they use so many words I don't know. They said something on the podcast...I think it was chain gang?? Or something? What the fuck is that??? I'd appreciate a list of vernacular so I don't look stupid next time I'm hammered at a Halloween party, thanks.

13. I know they retire young because they have to, do they just like never work again (I know they're paid well enough that they probably don't need to) or do you find ex NFL players like...selling cars after they retire. These are the REAL questions.
