Path-less Artist

...They are garments for you and you are garments for them...." (2:187). It's a part of the ayah but I think no poet, no writer, no lover could express the beautiful relationship between spouses like our Rabb does. I mean look at how Allah subhana wa ta 'ala likens this relationship to garments. There is nothing between you and your clothes - so close to one another. In the summer your clothes keep you cool and in winter they keep you warm, protecting you in every weather. Your clothes hide the blemishes and scars you may have on your skin, beautifying you in every way. Your clothes may grow on you and become tighter by time. And this is it, this is what Allah subhana wa ta 'ala is telling us; your spouse is your protection, your comfort, your beauty, your something you cannot live without. Save yourself from haram and Allah will wrap you in this best garment, don't be amazed by these lustful relationships when they do nothing but strip you. Allah wants you to be covered and He will send that one special person... Closer than a garment..
