For the past month, I’ve been very busy with work on my picture book Are You Fur Real?. Working on this book
The whole intent of using Patreon to promote my book is not solely for the purpose of supporting myself as a creator (in this case, an author/illustrator). It also serves as a decent opportunity to give my work the chance to reach an audience beyond the targeted demographic of children and preteens. All of the effort that I put in crafting this wonderful story over the last 5-6 years is simply impossible to overstate! It’s guaranteed to make folks of all ages get good laughs and be able to empathize with the main character as he begins to realize that wearing an animal costume in an unorthodox setting doesn’t have to make you feel awkward, but different in a very positive way. What this book aims to do is allow youngsters to acknowledge their own quirks and let others have the chance to be more open-minded towards them!
