he should be annoying to play against if the person doesn’t know how to play him, and even more annoying if they do. Spider-man should be the gate that says “hey if you want to be a professional, you can’t just take the strongest character on the roster and spam combos, you gotta learn how this all works” and if you don’t, you’re gonna have a bad time (and also a bruised ego)

Like imagine you live in a dorm with 4 other people and people have been bickering about something and acting kinda suspicious around the kitchen, but you just ignore it because you have to do your chores each day and kinda just don’t have the time to care. And so one day a door-to-door salesman comes around and starts chatting with you, and while you’re chatting for some godforsaken reason the kitchen sink starts killing your roommates one at a time, and in response to this your new door-to-door salesman friend reveals that he’s actually a plumber as well and just needs to know what’s wrong with the sink, who caused the damages, and why in order to stop it. But because your roommates are assholes they lie about everything (and get killed in return) but eventually you find out like half of your roommates have been pouring oil down the sink every time they can and that’s why the sink is so mad, and your new door-to-door salesman/plumber friend says ‘oh yeah that was extremely stupid of you but i can fix up the sink now!’ And proceeds to fix it. That’s what mononoke is like.
