Honestly while I do love our goofy Vash poster with the stupid pose I do think it kinda doesn’t quite make sense for the narrative? Like from stampede and maybe also from 98’ (It’s honestly been a bit since I watched the latter half) it was at least implied if not directly stated that one of the main reasons for vash’s bounty and rumors was that knives, who was going around stealing plants and stuff, was being mistaken for Vash who was a lot more social. So unless I’m completely misremembering—and if so feel free to correct me—this I feel like it would’ve been a neat detail if vash’s poster looked a lot more like knives, or maybe something in between due to the conflicting information between “Vash” (aka knives) the murderous outlaw who could and *would* destroy entire towns, and Vash the silly wanderer with a heart of gold and a background he didn’t want to touch on. Idk. I think my headcanon would be that his poster originally looked a lot more like knives, but one day someone was making portraits and that’s what they ended up using as the poster we know and love today.
