When I look back, I know I made too many mistakes. I gave you an infinite amount of chances, so many undeserved opportunities. I hope you know I killed my soul to be with you. I burned my happiness to the ground and made a home out of the broken parts of me. It was a shaky foundation but it allowed me to be grateful for the parts I still had left. So today, I look back in wonder and awe at my strength. How my heart withstood all the pain, how I still stand today. You are gone and I am okay.
