This is such a meaningful picture. Charis has been praying for her friend to come to church. When I was at @woodlandchristianchurch this morning @mrsscottlapierre messaged me that the girl showed up at our house wanting to go. I took Charis to get her and Charis was so excited she ran to her, hugged her, and sat with her through Sunday school and service. Meet George Muller LaPierre, our 9th child (on this side of heaven), who joined us Friday morning at 8lbs, 2oz. Today I had to say goodbye to a dear friend of mine whom I have come to love very much. Zach is a Mormon missionary who has been in the area for six months (much longer than most are allowed). We have been having weekly Bible studies. Although he's had different partners he's been the fixture from the beginning. I knew this day was coming and it was sad, but I'm thankful for the time we had together. He said he hopes to visit me when his mission trip is over, and someday I hope I can meet his family too.
