The Spirit and the Cursed
Eventually the girl started becoming harder to see, to the point where even squinting wouldn’t help. He worried that she was just going to…disappear. And he’d be all alone again…He looked around for where she could’ve possibly gone, though she was still right in front of him. Ghosts…made him worry. He was always worried about being possessed or hurt or anything of the sort.
However the girl slowly came back into view and he seemed relieved. At least it meant she wasn’t up to anything…Trust. It was a very fickle thing with Kieran. He was sometimes too trusting. He let people walk all over him most of the time because of what Braith put him through. But at the same time he was too stubborn to admit it…He wanted to trust people, and he wanted them to trust him back. It’s why he did his best to at least be kind, even if he was quiet and shy.
“It’s okay…No need to apologize.” He managed to say with a smile. This was the kind of person that needed patience…A lot of patience. “I promise I’m not a bad person…I don’t think I ever could be.” He admitted. Only times would be if Braith possessed him or something…But that hadn’t happened in a long time. He kind of gingerly held a hand out to her, not too close, not too far. Just gesturing that she could take his hand if she wanted to…Again, it was a matter of trust. There was no sudden movements or anything, just a small smile.
He wanted to try and get to know this girl…
The ghost just shimmered there, pulsing out a slow breeze of coldness. She didn't trust him. He was alive. People who were alive were cruel. They could trap you. They could throw you through painful rituals. They would try to "purify" you. They would try to get rid of you. They would go away and leave you. They would die and move on. They would mock you by dying and going on. They would go on... They would leave her one day. They would never come back... They would never help her. They would just vanish. Mortals are cruel. And she didn't think she could trust them... no... It was just.. pain... and fear.... So when she felt a movement against the chill she casted out, she immediately disappeared in mid flinch. She would only appear a short moment later a good few feet from Kieran. Her dress swirled around her, and her precious locks would fly about her... She just stared at the mortal with a sad look. He promises he isn't a bad person... How can she be sure...? Her eyes casted downward for a moment before she turned and ran through the air away from the boy, bringing the cold cast and the strange eerie light with her as she vanished into the darkness of the trees. How strong... is a promise... from a mortal....?
The Spirit and the Cursed
Kieran watched her curiously for a second until he realized that she maybe didn’t have a name…However her reaction towards it was something he didn’t expect. Again she lost her solid form and went back to being a ghost…Was she that ashamed of losing her name? Perhaps he should…think of something to call her sometime…
Have mercy. Did she expect him to hurt her just because she couldn’t give a name for him to call? He didn’t make any advances on her, merely stayed in the same spot he’d been in. “I’m not going to hurt you just because you don’t have a name to give me…It’s alright.” He said honestly. He didn’t really know how else to tell her that…
To be honest, he’d gone through a same sort of period right after Braith came into his life. Everything was glazed over, a delusion. He could barely remember things, sometimes even forgetting his own name or similar things. Things had been too hard on his young brain back then…Even now signs of that still showed, though he’d gotten a lot better at coping.
He wanted to take the girl in his arms, just to show her that he wouldn’t harm her…But she was transparent…Would that even work? For now he just kept his hands in his lap, to show her that he wasn’t planning on hurting her. “I won’t hurt you…I promise.” He said with a small smile. Up in the tree, Caleb nodded in agreement. His trainer wasn’t that kind of person. His trainer wasn’t Braith…How he hoped that this girl wouldn’t blame Kieran for Braith’s actions if it got to that point…This is why he was so nervous of people staying around his trainer for long periods of time…
The ghost girl floated there, curled up in her small ball as she slowly became harder and harder to see. Eventually, she wasn't even visiable at all. However, there was a soft glowing ball right around where her heart would have been. It moved to the side, before drooping down and then vanishing. She only listened for him for a moment, remaining invisible for a small time period before slowly coming back into her white semi transparent form. She was sitting in the grass now, her arms around her knees. Her head rested ontop of her arms as she sat there. He wouldn't hurt her... But... could she trust that...? What if he was lying? What if... She didn't move from that state. She didn't turn anymore visible or solid than when she first appeared to them; her form just barely see through and all her colors drained to white, her hair and the bottom of her dress floating just slightly as if there was a breeze. The chill around her lessened slightly as she became more relaxed. "My... apologies...." She pulled her legs against herself more. Please don't be like the living Nathaniel warned her about...
The Spirit and the Cursed
He didn’t really mind if she didn’t comment on what he said. He was still trying to grasp the fact that he was even speaking to a ghost. The idea seemed rather…odd to him. Ghosts to him had only really been limited to Pokemon, and his experiences with Braith didn’t give them a good reputation for him. However this girl seemed nice…She was quiet, like he was, and even more reserved.
To his surprise though, she returned her Pokemon. Did she…trust him just enough to do that? It made him ease up a little to see the Ghost types vanish for now, and it made Caleb ease up as well. The Zoroark was about to turn back to normal but Kieran gave him a look that told him, not yet. If Caleb made her nervous, he didn’t want him turning back to normal as soon as she returned her Pokemon.
He literally had zero intention of hurting her…She was nice, and wasn’t attacking him either. All his experiences with ghosts weren’t good so…It was kind of refreshing to have a nice interaction with one. He watched her take a more solid form in amazement. The fact that despite being dead, she could still take on such a human appearance kind of astounded him.
Listening to her fumble with his name for a second made him chuckle “It’s nice to meet you too. Do you have a name?” He asked curiously. She hadn’t mentioned one yet so he started to wonder if she had one…Or if over the years she’d forgotten it. How long had she been dead? He almost wanted to ask but that seemed rather rude. Caleb meanwhile, just watched from the tree, still a Tranquil. He wanted to turn back to normal but wouldn’t do so until Kieran told him to.
The ghost girl gripped at her dress when she stood back up. "My... name....sir...." She clenched her eyes shut for a long silent time. Her name. What a treasure that once had been. But like all treasures she had, it too was gone from her. She struggled, trying to figure out something. Just... maybe a letter at least! She hadn't had to think of this for so long... She should be able to just... think of her name.. right...? But she couldn't... It bothered her. She started to float again, turning back into her transparent white. She moved her hands over her eyes, small innocent fist trying to hide herself as she felt a panicked frustration envelope her. "My... name...." She floated backwards slightly, curling up into a ball just above the ground. "Please... have mercy... my name... sir... my.... name... gets to rest now... It too... gets to rest..." Just like everything... everyone she loved besides her Sandshrew-now-Sableye. Everything was gone. Her memories were faded, her home was undoubtedly gone... everything. And it felt horrible knowing they all left her here to suffer. As she tried to remember, only fear arose. Only pain. The air around her grew colder as she became more... afraid. "Please... forgive me... have mercy... " He will hurt her now. He will torment her. People do that... People have grown more and more mean. Teams of them. Groups of them. Everywhere. He will harm her for what she wasn't able to give. "Please..." Her voice was growing more and more quiet as she spoke... and this final plea was somewhat of a sob.
The Spirit and the Cursed
It took Kieran by surprise to see the girl smile, even if it was only faint. It reminded him of himself to be honest…His smiles these days were never the most genuine, and were small at that. It was nice to see her happy though, even if she was still probably cautious.
Oh but her smile faded…Guess he was saying some pretty depressing things. “Ah sorry…Didn’t mean to get depressing there…” He said apologetically. He always had a bad habit of spewing depressing things, since that’s all that usually went through his mind. Caleb just ruffled his feathers and flew onto a nearby tree branch to get out of the way, but still have the opportunity to watch over everything.
“I sort of do…It’s kind of a weird foreboding kind of feeling I suppose. Especially since I’ve felt close to death quite a few times.” He rubbed his arm as he said that. That curse was bad…He wished he could break it. If he could then maybe he could put an end to Braith and its torturings…But even then did he want to at this point?
“Oh but…I forgot to introduce myself. I’m Kieran…” He said with a small smile.
The ghost tilted her head to the side, only lifting her face a bit again. Her eyes only rested on where he was rubbing his arm, not daring to look up any higher. She pulled in her lower lip and bit at it slightly, not... addressing his apology exactly. Nor his next statement either. She had to think about this. She might make an idle comment abbout it later at random if she felt like it.. or if they were still talking. She turned slightly, reaching into her small cute bag to pull out two pokeballs. She clicked them open and almost reluctantly, her two pokemon were returned. This boy wasn't going to hurt her. If he did... she could probably get away, right? Or she can just toss out her pokemon again. Either or worked. The girl pulled her knees up in her floating form for just a moment before extending one leg at a time until they touched the grass below. She was completely solid now, and even though she looked sickly pale with a hint of a dead gray hue to her skin, she looked almost normal. Sure she still casted out a cold chill about her but still. "K..... Kie....ran..?" She let her tongue play with each sound for a moment before she nodded. "It's.. nice to meet you." She gently reached for the sides of her dress and closed her eyes as she curtsied elegantly to the other.

The Spirit and the Cursed
Kieran was silent for a while as he just looked at the girl. He wasn’t sure if he should make eye contact or not…It’s not like his eyes were menacing in any way though. They were more sad then anything. The now Tranquill just stayed on Kieran’s shoulder and fluffed out his feathers a bit as he got used to his new form.
He seemed a bit surprised at her next statement though. “I don’t wish that…I’d never wish for a person to leave…That’s never a nice thought to have.” Unless the person harmed him, then he’s fine with them. He still keeps Braith around too so that’s saying something. “It’s alright, don’t worry.” He said, a small smile forming on his face.
“There are a lot of wounds though…Probably too many to count…” He said as he put a hand on his heart. “But I suppose I still am warm…Even on days where I think I’m not.” He’d have a better grip on his life and reality in general if he wasn’t stuck in such a miserable situation. “Everything will fade, you’re right…For some it’s a good thing, others not so much…”
Caleb just watched everything going on, but stayed quiet. Both her and Kieran looked at the tower though. “I’m not sure yet…I don’t know if my presence would be appreciated.” He mainly just didn’t want Braith in there, because it was more of an insult then him going in himself.
That's not a nice thought... wishing for someone to leave. The faintest smile touched her cold lips. She slowly became more solid once more, where a pale gold would touch her hair. She still floated above the ground just a bit. However, her smile soon faded when she looked back up at him. She just watched him silently. Oh... how sad. Her shoulders raised up, then fell, as if she sighed. She couldn't remember if she had ever truelly felt the same. Being so hurt that, she didn't see much point in life. All she remembered... was a feeling. Pain... or maybe it was fear... both..? "You fear a place of farewell...?" She lowered her eyes once again as she spoke. She feared it... in a way. Her eyes drifted to the thick engraved shackle, watching the chains clink together lightly as she floated there. But a part of her craved for farewell.

The Spirit and the Cursed
Caleb just snorted slightly at the Shuppet. Even if he DID fight he could probably just…Night Daze you into oblivion. Not that he’d do that since Kieran would get mad at him but…For now he was just complacent and quiet, though he still didn’t enjoy the fact that these ghosts were sticking around and that Kieran was trying to be nice to them…
Kieran’s markings didn’t give off any kind of glow…They were just a dark, sickly purple and snaked up his arm. They did however kind of look like they were rotting in a way. Almost like you’d be cursed yourself if you touched them or something…Which of course wasn’t true of course.
The sudden chill in the air made Kieran shiver as his breath came out in streams of vapor. He seemed surprised to see his sleeve get pulled up, and it made Caleb jump too. He listened to her words though and frowned. “My life used to be happy…Now it’s nothing but sadness and melancholy.” He admitted. He didn’t try to touch her or make any sudden movements though…Didn’t want to frighten her…He wished he could kind of just run a thumb down her tiny hand though…But that would probably frighten her even more. “It is cold…It’s winter after all.” Of course it was also cold cause she was kind of a ghost but…
Both he and Caleb watched her float away worriedly. Did she…want to leave or? Maybe Caleb was intimidating her. The Zoroark was realizing this and rubbed his snout as he looked around all of a sudden. He spotted a Tranquil in a branch and used his ability to transform into it as he perched himself on Kieran’s shoulder. At least he didn’t look as intimidating anymore right? Kieran just looked surprised as he rubbed the now bird’s head.
The girl slowly pulsed in and out of a blurry glowing state, back to something that almost looked tangible. Her eyes had drifted downward as her pokemon joined her. The Sableye jumped up and crawled onto his ghostie master's shoulder as the Shuppet just floated close to her other shoulder. Her eyes looked up at Caleb when he suddenly took to a new form. A soft flash of surprise took to the dead girl before she looked lost and sad again. "... Is it your wish for me to go? I make it cold... I can't... It's... only cold..." She looked down, much more faded... ashamed. Her feet softly touched the ground now. "It's always cold... You're life... sad or not... Dark or not... You're so warm... You're a sun... just with... some dark wounds here..." She motioned with her hands to her own heart, not daring to go closer to him in case he would get upset or something. "Everything will fade..." She let out a soft sigh before moving her hands down to grip at her dress. Or at least they were supposed to fade. "Will you be going in...?" She was meaning into the tower, she just didn't make any gestures though.
The Spirit and the Cursed
Kieran frowned at Caleb’s reaction as it definitely caused some troubles with the ghosts…But it’s not like he could tell his friend to NOT be weary around ghosts…He was too. Instead he just placed a hand on Caleb’s shoulder. “It’s okay Caleb…They’re not like the other…I hope.” He WANTED to trust people, dead or not…Braith just made it hard.
And so with a deep breath, he did something he didn’t normally do. He looked over to the two ghosts, and the girl and lifted his sleeve to openly show his curse wound. “Caleb and I don’t mean any harm. I wouldn’t gain anything by hurting any of you…I’m cursed myself…I might as well be dead…” His voice drifted off at the end there as his arm fell.
Caleb just stared at him in shock as he then looked back at the ghosts. What…would they do in response to that…What would that THING do in response to that? He eyed Kieran’s belt warily, hoping the Cofagrigus wouldn’t come out of its ball. For now the Zoroark gritted his teeth as he took a more humble position so he wouldn’t startle the ghosts even further…
Kieran wasn’t sure himself as to why he did that but…It was better than nothing right? He didn’t want them leaving thinking they were bad people…
Nathaniel went still once more, just glaring at the pair as Marcel passed the floating ghost. He went stiff when the boy placed his hand upon his pokemon. He would fight you with all his stregnth if you dared try to attack him. He just... stared.... Until the boy went and revealed his arm. The shuppet floated back, in wary confusion. Marcel just stood there and chattered his teeth up at Nathaniel. What...? Now the girl. She stared, before closing her eyes for a moment. She slowly faded away. However, you could hear a chain clanking closer. You should feel a chill take to the air, letting you see your breath. Then suddenly, the edges of Kieran's sleeve were being pulled up. "You're life... Don't forget that... Death is sad... You're life..." Slowly the timid ghost started to fade back in infront of Kieran. Her voice shook, her eyes casted down, her hands shaking and avoiding contact with his skin. She was terrified of him. But life was valuable. "It's cold..." She looked up into his eyes. For a long moment, she just floated there, her hair and dress lifted gently in a nonexistant breeze. Once his arm was covered up again, the girl pushed back against his arm, floating backwards. Her soft shaking hands moved together infront of her chest. Her fingers gripped at the other hand's fingers nervously. Should... she just... go now...? He shared something with her though... It would be rude to... but she was so... nervous. Scared of both this boy and his fierce pokemon.

The Spirit and the Cursed
Well it seems that the Sableye wasn’t keen on leaving just yet…Kieran didn’t really mind that but felt kind of nervous to hear the ghosts chattering between themselves. They weren’t…planning anything right? Ghosts already made him super nervous as is…He didn’t like the idea of them possibly tag teaming him or anything. But seeing how aggressive the Shuppet seemed, that might not be the case. He just sorta patted the Sableye on the head as it nuzzled him before…Oh no.
When Marcel hopped over to Caleb the Zoroark didn’t react well. He flinched and snarled slightly at the ghost in his fur as he reached up to try and grab him and place him on the ground facing the other ghost. He didn’t want to deal with this anymore. Ghosts bothered him a lot more then they did with Kieran…But that’s only cause Kieran let them walk all over him. If he could talk he’d tell them to shoo, but alas. He did however make some shooing motions with his hands, Kieran watching nervously.
Hopefully that Shuppet wouldn’t take offense to that but…They wanted to leave right?
The Sableye was trying to convince his companion that it would be safe enough for the Shuppet to try and persuade miss ghost to come over. He was so determined it was going to work. But then he felt a dangerous claw move him down to the ground. The little being slowly looked up at Caleb, a frown upon his wide head. And Nathaniel's eyes just glowed as he narrowed them once more. Plan failed. His companion needed to come back /now/. There was DEFIANTLY no point for him to go and allow his princess to talk to such dangerous beings! ONE! That was a living human. The living can be so cruel to the dead... TWO! That was a dark type pokemon. What would happen if one attack of his landed upon his princess?! Would if hurt her twice as much just like him and Marcel? He wasn't willing to take that risk! He started to sway slowly about, calling for Marcel to come back. However... The Shuppet didn't... blame Marcel... Maybe someone to talk with besides them WOULD have been a good idea. But it was the Zoroark that made him nervous. The boy seemed... fine... to some degree. Still, Marcel's plan to prove that they were both fine failed. The Sableye slowly stood himself up, his ear like structures drooped. Maybe some other time. He just slowly waddled back over to his companion. All this time, the ghost girl watched from behind the tree, worried and very much confused.
The Spirit and the Cursed
Well as long as Marcel didn’t pull the bandages on his forehead off he’d be fine. So he was content with the ghost pulling at his hair, though at times he’d flinch. “Haha alright careful now little guy.” He said with a small laugh.
However he quickly realized the other ghost wasn’t as friendly…He watched the Shuppet sway from side to side nervously. Was it…going to attack him? Caleb put an arm in front of Kieran defensively as he growled at Nathaniel. He wasn’t going to let another ghost hurt his trainer. Kieran meant no harm after all! He was a victim! A victim of ghosts like them. Kieran just frowned as his hands fell to his sides. Guess he wasn’t trusted after all…
It did surprise both him and Caleb to see the girl essentially disappear, only to reappear behind a tree again. So she really was a ghost…How was that possible? “Sorry if I…scared you…” He repeated, though this time he didn’t beckon her to come over. He didn’t want to make her uncomfortable or anything…So for now he was just awkwardly waiting for this Sableye to finish messing with his hair.
Marcel wasn't leaving. He was enjoying this. He did raise his head and started to chatter at his fellow ghost. They seemed to be talking about something. Nathaniel swayed more viciously and then his eyes glowed angrily at Marcel. Marcel just responded with rubbing his cheek against Kieran. Then it seemed like their attention turned to the protective Caleb. The shuppet swayed about aggressively. The Sableye tussled about on Kieran's head before rolling off onto Caleb's. He then went and nested himself on the dark types head, calm as ever. And now, the shuppet held still watching to see what would happen... As if watching to see what happened...
The Spirit and the Cursed
Kieran tilted his head at her response. Her voice sounded kind of…distant. Was she even real? It’s alright though, Kieran is always around Braith so it could be said that death followed him wherever he went. He was already tainted with enough bad luck as is…
His eyes widened when her appearance became pale white…Was she a ghost? Was it some kind of Pokemon playing a prank on him or…Was it really a ghost of a person? He bit his lip. What if he…ended up like that sometime? Cursed to stay on the world and to have Braith torment him even in death. What was he thinking though…This girl couldn’t possibly be a ghost…Right?
The frigid air seemed to follow her though and Kieran found his shivering slowly stopping. “A-Ah wait- I didn’t mean to spook you or anything…” He called out to her, wondering if she was just timid or if he actually did something to make her nervous.
However he did see the Sableye approach, which made him smile a little. It wasn’t everyday that he got to play with an actually friendly ghost. He carefully took the Sableye’s claws and playfully moved his arms around a little “Hello there little guy.” Caleb just snorted a little and tightened the bandages around his trainer’s head so they wouldn’t fall off.
Kieran then looked over at the girl who seemed to be watching him from a distance. “You’re…welcome to come over here you know. Unless you want your Pokemon to head back your way.” He tried to make himself seem as welcoming as possible but…it was kind of difficult for him.
Marcel chattered his teeth happily and went to climbing all over this stranger curiously. This kid seemed nice~ He ended up sitting upon the boys head and playing with Kieran's hair. So essentially, the Sableye was messing up the boy's hair oops. Now, Nathaniel? He just glared at the stranger, moving back and forth infront of the girl. It was like he was guarding her. In fact, he was. He was ready to attack, ready to do ANYTHING that ensured his dead trainer's safety. There's no telling WHAT a human could do! They could try to banish her! Or even bind her to something else too! Maybe even curse her... OR DEVOUR HER! Oh the thought made his eyes glow feircely and his aggressive swaying quicken. He nearly bolted forward with an attack with the stranger spoke. Welcome. She wasn't welcomed. She knew that. She didn't feel like he did. She was just... here. So when he tried to welcome her, her eyes widened and she disappeared into a strange puff of mist, moving to hide behind a tree though. She couldn't leave until Marcel was done playing. She ended up reappearing, floating with her front pressed up against a tree... trying to stay out of sight the best she could.... which... was hard... saying her hair and dress were flowing out gently.
The Spirit and the Cursed
The place made Kieran uncomfortable too…As he felt someone as damned as him would just taint the area. The thought of death these days seemed all too nice for him but…Would he even be allowed to ascend? Or would he come back as some sort of spirit, only to be tormented by Braith for eternity? The thought sent chills down his spine…
Was it just the thoughts though? He slowly realized the air around him and Caleb was getting a lot colder. He lifted the sleeve of his cursed arm and sure enough, there were goosebumps and everything. Not wanting anyone to really see his tainted arm he pulled his sleeve down and looked around for the source of this frigid air…It felt…familiar. Almost ghost like. Which made him incredibly nervous…Was Braith out? No it couldn’t be.
Caleb was the first to notice the ghost staring at them and quickly bared his teeth. Naturally because of Braith, the Zoroark had a vendetta against Ghost types. Kieran put a hand on the fox’s snout though. “Ah…Hey there…We won’t hurt you…” He said with a faint smile. Seemed to be a Sableye and a Shuppet…They seemed a bit on edge though.
It was then that Kieran spotted someone behind a tree. He couldn’t really make out her appearance but she seemed to be small…Were the Pokemon protecting her? “We won’t hurt you either…” He added as Caleb seemed to calm down a bit. Hopefully that person didn’t see his arm…Oh nooo…Maybe he could pass it off as a tattoo or something? Not a curse mark…For now he just kept a curious eye on the person behind the tree, the small smile on his face.
"Do not forget your life..." Her voice seemed to echo about, as if for a warning. She turned and pulled the bag to her chest as she stepped lightly away. You shouldn't talk with the dead. It was bad luck or something right? But what could it mean to the girl? Was it bad luck too? She was already slapped with badluck to death. She didn't need it... But she was more scared of the stranger than anything else. Her form started to glow, only for her to go completely white now. The blond faded... her eyes paled... her skin ghostly... Everything connected or on her, was now pure white... like freshly fallen snow. As she slowly prodded away, the chill started to fade with her, like she was the breeze it was on. The Shuppet spun around and floated after her. He wasn't going to let these people harm his princess! However, the Sableye just tilted it head at the stranger curiously. After a moment, it pulled its mouth wide, flashing all its sharp teeth... But it was smiling. It bounced over, swaying from side to side before holding out its claws to Kieran, waving to Caleb happily. Of course... the absense of Marcel caused the girl to stop. Her beautiful form twirled around slowly, her hair and dress flowing after. As soon as she saw her beloved pokemon with the stranger through the trees.. she stood there, frozen to the spot. Worry.. fear... sadness... But most of all, a nervousness was painted upon her face... What was Marcel doing? Would he like to play with these strangers? She wasn't welcomed... but they were pokemon... Nathaniel and Marcel could play if they wanted... right?
The Spirit and the Cursed
It’d been a long time since Kieran had visited the Celestial Tower…Partially because the place made him nervous. It seemed too pure for someone like him…It felt like just bringing Braith in was an insult to all the souls of the deceased here. But here he was anyways…Well outside at least. He hadn’t entered the building yet. Instead he was sitting on a rock nearby eating lunch with Caleb. The Zoroark was munching on a sandwich that Kieran had made him.
Kieran himself was a bit of a mess. Seems Braith had gotten to him recently as the bags under his eyes were worse then usual…That and he had some bandages wrapped around his forehead and probably other parts of his body that his clothes were covering. That ghost was relentless…Not much he could do about it though. He looked up at the tower nearby and tried to see if he could see the top of it…He’d pay proper respects to the dead when he was done eating.
Caleb looked at his trainer worriedly as he ate. He hated that Cofagrigus and what it did to Kieran. This wasn’t the trainer he used to know…This person was completely different…That curse was the only thing keeping the Zoroark from tearing the ghost apart.
Kieran noticed Caleb’s expression and put a hand on the Zoroark’s head. “Hey it’s alright…No need to worry…Though it’s strange that it’s so quiet around…I thought there’d be more people here to pay respects.” Maybe it was a slow day…It’s possible that he’d run into someone sooner or later though.
A place where the dead would rest. Somewhere that let the spirits be purified and then pass on. People would come to this place to pay respects. This place was somewhere that beloved ones would ring the bell upon the tower to wish off their lost ones. This place broke the ghost's heart. She never dared go inside. She didn't know what would happen if someone try to ring the bell for her. It probably would be painful... Being beckoned to pass on or even being pulled at to go on... when she would never be able to. It made her want to cry, watching people come here to give love to their dead ones when she knew no one would even have thought to do that for her. Maybe though, she could send out her love to the ones she knew once a long time ago. She had a family... right? She hoped she had... So right now, she, too, was outside the tower. She was most likely hidden away from sight, though it didn't stop her solid form from slowly walking about. The only sound she made was the chiming of her chains upon her ankle. At the moment, Nathaniel and Marcel ran about... erm.. well Marcel ran about, Nathaniel floated about. The Shuppet stayed nearby his sweet princess while the Sableye climbed the nearby trees and look out happily. Marcel found this place wonderful. He let out a clinking of his teeth before walking ahead of the group. It was probably Marcel that found Kieran and Caleb when a soft chill started to creep around the two. He stood there, between two trees. The Sabeleye just... stared with his gem like eyes when the pale girl walked up, in which she froze for a moment before moving to the side quickly to hide behind a tree. This... caused Nathaniel to ruffle forward, glaring protectively at the stranger and his pokemon.

Chimes of A Fountain (natunest)
It was dark, and there wasn’t a pokemon centre in sight. Marya let out an irritated sigh. She was exhausted, and while it seemed like a beautiful night, she could see the clouds in the distance. A storm was coming and that is not fun to camp in, especially when you didn’t have a tent. She hated camping out but she was in desperate need of rest, the little natu on her head already fast asleep.
She pulled out her map, staring at it. There was a resting place nearby…perhaps she could have a quick nap there before carrying on. Following the map and the path she soon arrived. Well, this was a pretty place. She shivered slightly. Pretty, but slightly cold. No matter, she could build a small fire and have Sofia watch over it. She began to gather sticks and fallen branches for her fire, careful to not wake the sleeping natu. Once she felt she had enough, she went towards the resting area,
She didn’t notice the girl at first. She unhooked her sleeping bag from her backpack and set that up. She would give Olive a place to rest first. Once that was ready, she put the natu on the sleeping bag. The small pokemon stirred for a moment, opening an eye. “It’s okay Olive, just go back to sleep. I’ll make us a fire and we can sleep.” Marya cooed, patting her dear friend. Olive yawned, going back to sleep. She smiled, turning back to the pile of wood she had collected, starting to build herself a fire pit.
It was when she turned to let Sofia out she noticed the girl. She had been so quiet, she hadn’t noticed there was another person there! Then again…this girl did seem…strange. No matter! She wasn’t going to continue being rude! She smiled, heading over to her. “Hello! I’m sorry I didn’t notice you before! I’m Marya!” She introduced. She noticed the girl’s lost expression. “Are you lost?”
What did the living have to do with the past? What did this past have to do in the living? Why was it that the past had to be bound to this once warm world? The sun would only blindly cast blankets of cold. The moon was attempt to guide the lost to sleep. The world turned away from the constant lonely chill. This was a curse. It was a horrible curse. The world wanted her out, and she wanted out. As if on cue, a small crystal of a tear rolled down the dead cheek of the girl. When it left, falling towards the earth below, it disappeared into a vapor to cease it's existance. The girl had felt a warm presense around her... no not warm... Just an intrusion upon her chilly astosphere. Warmth would have been a blessing. Her eyes raised up when she head a voice. Those silvery eyes widen softly, as if a shy fear took her expression. "Do not forget your life..." Aka... Please realize you are trying to interact with the dead. Her voice was soft, a whisper, and it seemed to echo about. The girl closed her eyes and disappeared, first into a small bright cold ball where the girl's heart would have been. Then even that puffed out, having only shown a slight movement of moving to the right. Then it was silent. Only that the cold didn't fade... In fact, you could probably feel it like a drift to the right and then settle near another bench.
