hey - weighing in on the friend situation, it sounds like you're doing your best to avoid hurting her. i think the best way to respond if you don't tell her and she finds out and talks to you about it, is with pure sympathy for her situation. so it doesn't matter if you already knew. you can say, 'oh my gosh how awful, how are you feeling about it?' and focus on what she's dealing with. it sounds like you're decicing not to tell her out of a true desire to protect her feelings, so i think you shouldn't worry too much about her being mad at you. uNLESS you think it would hurt her mORE if you don't tell her and she finds out you didn't. ygm?

i would not tell her. she has removed her ex from her life intentionally. leave him out of her life.
