I'm replaying open heart and now I'm kinda considering going into a medical career so uh. This is all Bryce Lahela's fault

so im taking the mcat in 2 weeks

people are allowed to complain and advocate for the ending of a series if it's a series that they liked, and the creators have ruined it for them lol . it's honestly sad seeing that most people agree they just want open heart to end, because oph1 was a really popular and loved book, and everyone's opinion on the series now really highlights how much pb messed up. it's so disappointing to see how ... bad .. pb has become yknow.

It's so sad how one of the greatest series PB made (or it could have been) is treated this way by the writers. It's like they don't even know what to do with it and every week they're trying to wing in whatever way just to make a chapter and that's it. As for Bryce, I love my baby and all but like you said even he isn't able to save this poopo show for me and that's mainly because the only time I see him is when they're introducing a diamond scene with him and that's like once every 2-3 weeks? Anyways, PB messed OH so bad that there is no way it could be saved.

yeah absolutely! they're trying to have a story while also pushing a LI that some people don't romance, and it just doesn't work. after book 2 rewrites it could've been salvaged because most people were happier with the more even screentime, but iirc book 3 was written when they made the original book 2, and i guess they didn't want to fix bk3 too :// it's a shame, really

It’s wild to me how this series went from a fandom favorite to being almost universally hated. That’s how bad the writers have fucked up. I don’t know one person among my mutuals that still enjoys it, despite the love for their chosen (not forced) LI. And what’s crazier is I know the writers see our complaints, but they don’t care. This book is a dumpster fire, and I can’t wait for it to be over.

So it’s unreasonable to have any type of feelings or reactions toward characters just because they aren’t real? Anon, if the media you consume leaves you incapable of feeling any type of way, whether positively or negatively, that’s just sad. Except I think that’s not the case, because clearly you feel strongly enough toward him that you keep defending him by putting down people who bring up valid criticism, so I think you’re just a hypocrite, who, like Blue said, isn’t bold enough to state their opinions with their whole chest and resorts to using anon to hide.
