He messes around with one of the three match games he downloaded to David's phone forever ago and tunes out the surprisingly-not-too-bad-but-still-not-good music David's playing from his iPod shuffle, because the car doesn't have iPhone compatibility due to being a weird old shitbox, but mostly he stares out the window and tries not to think. The scenery is stupid. The streets they drive through are fucking stupid. David is stupid. What the hell is he thinking, having Max stay with him since his parents left him behind? This won't last a day.
