Marinette is mixed in with a crowd who is being attacked by an akuma. Chat dashes up and shields Marinette from the blast, pushes her against the wall like that to protect her. Once the danger passes, he gives her an apologetic grin the way he does. But then chat, being chat, gives a feisty smile and says, “you’re safe now, my lady, but I can stay here if you want” with a tiny wink. He’s joking, of course, but then he looks up and sees that marinette’s face is a bit red. He blinks and pulls his arms away and bows out, not wanting to make her feel ucomfortable. He was just playing, after all. Besides, he’s got an akuma to catch. As he runs off, Marinette stands there for a half a second, not quite sure what to make of the situation. “Stupid cat” she mutters, but she’s smiling a lil in spite of herself. Chat noir is her partner when she’s ladybug, but it occurs to her that he does genuinely care.

@miraculousobsession Yours is so beautiful and you should absolutely write that as a fanfic but I am utterly a MariChat trash and your description made me go weak in the knees but I’m a sucker for crack and thus sUPER RUSHED AND MESSY AND NOT THAT CUTE SO PLS FORGIVE ME.
