Next on the saga of the book series I’m currently reading: it’s on Spotify. All of it, the complete series so far as far as I’m aware. A very inconvenient detail: it’s completely in German. As a person who knows some German and technically should be able to continue the series via Spotify, this is very annoying, as my German is good enough for me to be able to understand about eighty percent of what is being narrated, but not good enough to be able to enjoy it fully without giving the audio my full undivided attention, which is not how I would like to consume this series. And so it continues…

Nothing in the world quite like reading the first book of a fairly new series via ebook, trying to find a physical copy in your region just to find that the price of each book is three times the usual price for books, tracking down the first sequel in your local library and reserving it online, just to find out via email that the book has gone missing, and then to promptly find it while randomly browsing through another section of the library the next time you’re there, and finally getting to read it with the knowledge that, judging by the uncracked spine, you are the first person in the entire city to read that specific library book. Truly The Experience of all time.
