It was a warm afternoon in Sprunki Town, along with a busy project in the workshop. Melody had her paws full of screws and bright-red wire. She was sitting on the floor, legs crossed, tongue sticking out of the corner of her mouth as she worked on something shiny and half-finished.
Garnold: Careful with those leads, Melody. Last time you crossed the red and black wires, the ceiling fan tried to leave.
Melody: It was just a little spin. Besides, Clukr caught it on time.
Clukr was busy working on a new invention. But, there was a bit of an issue; his cheeks were a little green and he felt sick to his stomach. He gagged and gulped as he covered his mouth with a hand. Melody took notice of this.
Melody: Clukr, are you feeling okay?
Clukr whimpered softly as he put his tools down on the desk. He rested a hand on his tummy with the other on the edge of the desk, leaning on it for support.
Melody: You’re looking a little woozy.
Clukr: Ughhh, I’m not feeling so good…
Clukr’s tummy made a sick-sounding grumble. Garnold felt worried and concerned for his buddy.
Garnold: Uh oh, please tell me you didn’t eat from that container in the fridge.
Clukr: It said ‘DO NOT EAT’ in marker. I thought it was a joke.
Garnold crossed his arms.
Garnold: But it wasn’t a joke. It was a threat.
Melody looked at the two with a bit of curiosity.
Melody: Why? What was in the container?
Clukr: Just some leftover soup..
Garnold: Clukr, I was gonna dump it in the sink. It wasn’t good anymore.
Clukr: But it still tasted good..
Clukr’s tummy makes another sick-sounding grumble, and he coughed again. Melody puts down the wires and she stood up.
Melody: Sounds like you have food poisoning.
Garnold: Maybe we should all take a break with the tinkering for now.
But Clukr didn’t like that idea very much.
Clukr: But I’m almost done finishing this invention. Could I at least finish it first and then we can take a break?
Garnold: No Clukr, you need to rest so your tummy can feel better.
But Clukr didn’t want to stop yet, not when he’s in the middle of an invention. He was almost saddened at the idea.
Clukr: I just need a few more touches with it. I don’t wanna stop yet..
Melody notices the change in Clukr’s expression and she decides to add on.
Melody: Clukr, those final touches can wait, and that invention is not going anywhere. Right now, you need to let your body rest and recover.
Garnold: We have been working for quite a while now, so it’s best if we all have a little breather.
Clukr was hesitant, but he knew it would help him a lot if he rested. His tummy was hurting badly after all.
Melody: Come on, let’s get you seated.
Melody took Clukr by the hand and helped him walk to the bench. Clukr sat down with a soft groan, and Melody took a blanket and wrapped it around him.
Garnold: I’ll get started on making some warm tea for him.
Garnold leaves to the small kitchen and he starts to prepare some herbal tea for Clukr.
Melody: You don’t feel like throwing up, do you?
Clukr shakes his head a bit.
Clukr: Not really.. Just feeling nauseous, and achy..
Melody sits down next to him on the bench.
Melody: Something tells me you ate the entire container of the spoiled leftover soup.
Clukr nodded as he whimpered softly.
Clukr: I was hungry at that time.. I didn’t know..
Melody: Maybe next time you should really pay attention to signs like that on the container. Because, you wouldn’t know if whatever’s in the container is still good or not.
Clukr: Right.. Next time there’s a container that tells me not to eat from it, I should dump it away..
Garnold comes back with a warm cup of herbal tea. There was a bit of steam coming from it.
Garnold: The tea’s ready. It’s a little hot, so be careful.
He sets it down on the small coffee table that was next to the bench. Clukr smiles softly.
Clukr sipped his tea slowly and let out a soft sigh. The warmth helped, but his tummy still felt like it was being grumpy. As Clukr sipped his tea, Garnold sat down next to him.
Garnold: You know, we could possibly install a label system, like color-coded stickers. Green for “Safe,” red for “Danger,” and yellow for “Smells weird, but might be okay if you’re desperate.”
Clukr: Let’s stick with green and red.. I don’t wanna play roulette with soup again..
Mr. Sun began to dip lower, casting warm golden rays through the workshop’s windows. Outside, the gentle hum of Sprunki Town’s afternoon bustle continued, but inside, the three friends settled into a quiet, comforting rhythm.
The warm golden light of the late afternoon softened the edges of the workshop, casting long shadows over the scattered tools and half-finished projects. Clukr had his head leaned against Garnold, his green-tinged cheeks slowly returning to their normal hue as the herbal tea soothed his aching stomach.
Clukr: I guess you were right. Sometimes, even the best inventors need to pause and take care of themselves.
Melody: Exactly. And when you’re ready, we’ll get right back to it, and we can finish it together.
Clukr looked at her with a bit of surprise.
Clukr: Really? We can do that?
Melody: Of course. It’s always more fun to tinker with friends. Plus, I think your invention is pretty cool. Just needs a little extra sparkle.
Garnold: Speaking of which, maybe since we’re all sitting here, we can share some ideas for what this invention should do next. That way, when you’re feeling better, we hit the ground running.
Clukr smiled warmly at that.
Clukr: That’s a great idea. I’ve been thinking it could help other Sprunki’s out with any illness or injury. Like a little helper bot.
Melody: Ooh, I like that idea.
Garnold: And maybe it can have a flashing light when it’s on a mission. Could make clean-up time way more exciting.
Melody: Maybe it could have different modes. Like, one for medicine reminders, another for small first aid tasks, and maybe even something that makes you smile when you’re down.
Garnold: And maybe it can have a built-in snack dispenser.
Melody: You mean like it can carry snacks in case of emergency?
Melody: So now that we got our ideas sorted, what should we call this invention?
Clukr: I know. How about we call it… Kind Bot?
Melody: Ooh, that fits perfectly.
Garnold: Yeah, with all the medical stuff and emergency snack stash, Kind Bot will be the perfect name for it.
The trio laughed a bit as they all sat together. Clukr was feeling much better now.
Clukr: Thank you, both of you. I was worried I’d have to put the invention on hold forever.
Garnold: Hey, everyone needs a break sometimes. The best ideas often come when you’re resting and relaxing.
Melody: Exactly. Plus, when you’re back to full strength, we’ll make this the coolest helper bot Sprunki Town has ever seen.
Outside, the first stars started to twinkle above the rooftops, as if cheering on the little workshop filled with friendship, care, and a spark of genius.
Garnold: It’s getting a bit late. Shall we set the inventing stuff on hold for tomorrow?
Melody: Yeah, we can do that. That way we can be nice and refreshed so we can finish everything, and Kind Bot will be born.
Clukr: That sounds great. Let’s all get some sleep for tonight.
