Valentine’s Day was full of lovers with hearts in their eyes. It just made Abel roll his own eyes. He wished he had a valentines, or at least a reason to celebrate the holiday of love. But being as though he didn’t, Abel went down to see what was going on for those people who were single in the castle. He walked down to the lobby to see if he could find something to do for the evening. He saw a lot of people coupled up, going on dates, exchanging gifts.
Abel walked to the bar and set up camp there. He ordered himself bar food, a drink, evening had a slice of chocolate cake brought out for himself. He let out a breath and drank got more than half of the drink he had ordered. “Fuck Valentine’s Day.”
Devon had dropped by the bar as an afterthought, intending to grab a drink and head right home. It’s been a very eventful time, a lot has been happening. And really, his head was spinning so fast he kind of just had to take a second. He hadn’t expected to see Abel, because frankly, when was the last time he had? Where’d the guy go? He pressed his lips together firmly in thought for a moment, before clearing his throat and stepping forward. He slides into the seat next to the other man, and raps his knuckles against the bar top. An attempt to get the bartenders attention, before he parts his lips to speak.
“Hey stranger, long time no see. Having that kind of day, hm?”
Abel was lost in his own thoughts, thinking about going home. Or just going back to his suite to sulk. But he jumped when the other spoke out, “Oh, shit,” he said and looked at the other, a small smile then appearing on his lips. “Hey Devon. I’m glad to see you,” he said, giving his shoulder a squeeze. “Just really hating valentines. That’s all. Being a big baby probably.”
