I love BTS and all but I just find it interesting that they came out with a track titled Boy With Love, very similar in name to Boy In Luv (there's nothing wrong with that) and nobody made a big deal about it, and as they shouldn't. They're different songs, different genre, just completely and totally 2 very distinct songs.
Red Velvet came out with a song titled Really Bad Boy, very similar in name to the song Bad Boy. They're different songs, different genres, and just completely 2 very distinct songs. But. The amount of HATE these girls got the amount of just vitriol thrown at them is....I wouldn't say surprising...but very telling. Of the standards people seem to have for girl groups. Of the pure idiocy and ignorant hate people have for them. RBB was an absolute bop! I understand it's a very polarizing song where people either love it or hate it but the majority of the negative feedback started before the song was ever even released and stayed far after the girls stopped promoting.
This is nothing new, but it's interesting to note.
