HI HI HI!!! So for a bit this year i’ve been uploading a lot of the unleash the light assets to the spriter’s resource and i REALLY wanted these talk sprites SOOO fucking bad but for some reason i just Couldn’t find them anywhere in the files where i could actually access them
So last ditch effort i went to the resource discord and it turns out it’s because they’re actually 3d models LMFAOOOO (i will still call them sprites though it feels wrong calling them models). And that someone asked the Exact same question like 2 yrs ago and they just never actually got ripped, so someone HAD made a plugin to be able to view the models in noesis (shoutout to Jasper7438 on the resource!). Since they’re vector images so they don’t lose quality when scaled up or down, I ended up screenshotting them and have been veeeery sporadically cleaning them up.
I debated whether or not i should share these bc i wasn’t sure if anyone would want them, but i kinda figured “i mean it’s good to have them out there regardless”, so yeah. I honestly made just em to have em, but i thought maybe some people might want to use them for edits or something… idk!!!
There’s a text document in the zip file that goes into a bit more detail on the Rules of everything, but basically, you don’t have to credit me if you use them as they do not belong to me. Don’t redistribute them as your own/claim them as official rips, and obviously, do NOT use these for ANY commercial purposes. Grumpyfacestudios and cartoon network/rebecca sugar still retain full rights to the designs and artwork.

EDIT: New drive link since the zip was giving me issues and the text file + smoothed portraits folder weren’t showing (google drive zips folders when you download them anyways). additionally, one peridot sprite also had some background pixels left and one of garnet’s smoothed portraits was missing. Should all be working now!
What’s included here?
Almost all of them, basically! To be specific, all of the sprites for:
All the Crystal Gems (Garnet, Amethyst, Pearl, Steven, Connie and Lion, Bismuth (both outfits), Lapis and Peridot) although I assume that’s self explanatory. Also Greg. does he count? I’m saying he does. Honorary crystal gem.
Hessonite in both outfits.
Pyrope and Demantoid, in both their full body sprites and their screen/tv sprites.
George as well as the final prism boss!
Squaridot (but only the actual squari, in her real physical form, more on that in the “not included” section)
All the town NPCS (The Peridots, Bismuths and Jades respectively)
What’s NOT included?
The other pearls, so Blue and Yellow Pearl + Volleyball.
Squaridot’s drones and her screen/tv sprites.
Essentially— anything with transparent elements. From what I hear the transparency is stored as vertex colors and I can’t figure out how to make it work. The creator of the plugin said the UVs were botched so maybe that had something to do with it? Idk, I’ve got nothing, it’s not my forte
If I could view the models without those elements at all, I could probably wing it and make an attempt at replicating them, but unfortunately, I can’t seem to do that. The transparent elements just show up as flat colors in noesis.
I know the person messing with them was able to get it to show up properly in blender— so there definitely IS a way to do it, but I’m not gonna bother the creator more to basically do the work for me, that’s both against the rules of the resource and obviously just rude LMAOO. They said smthn about opening them in a hex editor to view them in blender which i know jack shit about. So if anyone knows anything about 3D models/ripping them and is willing to take a crack at it let me know HAHA

What did you “clean up”?
Basically, first of all— these are vector images, so they’re made up of lines and points and have some gaps and misplaced pixel colors sometimes. You can even see these in game once in a while if you look hard enough. I basically went through each individual sprite and filled in the gaps and fixed colors where they didn’t belong. Of course I’m not perfect and I’m sure I missed some— But the ones I did miss definitely aren’t noticeable enough to really matter.
Second of all, pearl’s nose texture. It’s easier to visualize so I’ll just put it here.
And last: when you unzip the zip folder, you’ll see two subfolders: “Smoothed” and “Originals_Unsmoothed.” It’s basically exactly what it says on the tin. The originals are all pixel-y, these are almost Exactly what i got from the noesis screenshots aside from fixing the gaps. When you zoom out, they’ll kinda smooth themselves out and your brain fills in the gaps
The “smoothed” ones, I literally just took the final edited sprite and put the csp smooth filter over it. It’s really bare bones and just what CSP decides to spit out, so they aren’t perfect. There are still some jagged edges, and I did add and remove some pixels to make them smoother in certain cases. I also removed some stray pixels on particular unsmoothed sprites that made them look a little wonky, but i did this INCREDIBLY sparingly and only when I really felt it was necessary.
Ex. Lapis’ scared sprite (left is smoothed, right is unsmoothed. you can see some of the jagged edges on the smoothed sprite such as on her waist. That’s just what csp spits out and I can’t be bothered to fix it manually.)
Speaking of pearl, one more random and honestly pointless thing I edited just for myself: Pearl has a laugh sprite that uses the same base as her “Proud_Of_Steven” sprite, with the only difference being her mouth and that the laugh sprite has a peach-toned blush rather than the canon blue tone used in the other sprite. The original one is still included, but I just really wanted to make another edited version of it where the blush is the right color because it mildly irked me LOL
I think that’s abt it… and although you don’t have to credit me, i’d love to see if you make anything with them or whatever. Have fun!!! :D

ABSOLUTELY AUGHH BUT COMING UP WITH SOLID HCS FOR THE SU CREW IS ALWAYS HARD FOR ME bc what the show gives us is already so in depth and sooo peak. For example before i rewatched the show i was talking once like “i think garnet would be such a good relationship counselor” only to rewatch the series and realize that was not my headcanon and in fact she did just do that. Regardless yes i absolutely have some i just have to dig through my brain rq
- i’ve mentioned this before but i fully think garnet was the one closest w steven when he was a baby. i don’t think amethyst and pearl like Didn’t spend time w him i do think amethyst liked him a lot too i think pearl was the most withdrawn for obvious reasons but she still liked him… but garnet was the first to see steven as his own being even if she didn’t fully understand it. hes made of love!!! and she doesn’t really understand babies, but i think thats one thing that draws her to him on top of everything else. She sees steven similarly to herself she initially thinks hes a fusion BECAUSE he is Made Of Love, we see how excited she gets over all of stevens fusions and how eager she is to hear EVERYTHING about them.
Baby steven is similar to her in that regard and shes sooo curious abt him because he is so unique. I love imagining her just sitting with him and letting him climb all over her and just being so fascinated by his little baby hands. I think a lot abt her immediately taking baby steven in steven’s birthday and making the silly face like shes just Done this before. and i think abt this comic ALL the time nobody understands.
- garnet is just a cat lady forever. I don’t personally feel like they would revive cat steven, idk if people think that or not, ik i used to imagine it at least when i was younger but i don’t see it anymore. As sad as it is for them to have such a short lifespan compared to gems, i just don’t think it would feel right to garnet or steven to play god like that. The gems came to earth and accepted that things on earth are constantly changing, that mortality is just a fact of life here, and I don’t feel like garnet would feel right disturbing that process. Cat steven lives a good long life and garnet wants to let her go when it’s her time
But from then on they always have at least one cat. At LEAST one. But I’m very sure there are more at one point or another. I saw a fic once where garnet got pearl a kitten when she was struggling w empty nest syndrome after steven left and i love that hc a lot i think it’s so in character for them
- Complete tonal shift but peridot writes camp pining hearts yaoi fanfictions with word counts akin to like that one loud house fic thats mostly copy and pasted and is currently the longest fic of all time. And garnet wholeheartedly reads as many of them as she can in her spare time and always comments on them with a thumbs up emoji and nothing else. I think she genuinely did like camp pining hearts in general actually. She just doesn’t really have anything notable to say about it. So it’s just. 👍
- She barely ever answers her texts she lowkey lives off the grid. All her texts are like one to two word responses or read like business emails. Ocassionally she’ll split up and either ruby or sapphire will take her phone in case someone needs to reach them in which case will be very brief Normal (well as normal as ruby and sapphire can be) conversations in her text history and then it’s back to her typical dry ass responses. Sometimes she makes jokes and it lowkey intimidates people because they genuinely can’t tell if shes joking or not and someone REALLY needs to teach her autistic ass about tone indicators or something. People usually call her if they actually need anything bc otherwise it’ll be like 3 hours before she responds to your text
- Yk how people will sometimes say bullshit like “oh the colors in garnets visor represents who’s speaking at the time” or point to specific lines like “oh this was ruby saying that” “oh that was sapphire” and like No it fucking isn’t that’s GARNET it’s ALL GARNET. But i do like to imagine garnet Actually uses this as a joke sometimes. Like maybe it’s even an inside joke among fusions/permafusions in general. she’ll say some crazy shit and then she’s like “Sorry that wasn’t me that was ruby”
- I think she has a lot of random funny hats. I can’t explain why but I’m really fond of her in ruby’s little scout hat and uniform in together forever even if she DID have a practical reason to be wearing it i just think it’s really funny. Also this one bit in so many birthdays that i think is criminally underrated
She also really just likes wearing a lot of practical things for no reason. Like she has those goggles she puts on when she says she has to swim in lava in giant woman and i think she wears them again when they’re looking for malachite but i might be wrong. but looking at the fact that gems can see Fine underwater she just. Wears those for no reason. And her wearing oven mitts when baking cookies despite Being able to swim in lava.
I think all I’m saying is that after ruby’s cowboy side quest she’s definitely still got a cowboy hat laying around somewhere and she wears it for fun

in an AU where Varian is Steven, who do you think the other characters would be? (iknow Rapunzel should be Steven since she's actualy the main character but! here's my explanation: Varian my favorite)
i’ve been thinking about it, and my first thought was Ulla as Rose, Quirin as Greg, and Donella as Pearl. Ulla being Rose feels obvious in the sense of her being this mysterious absent figure whose choices basically shape Varian’s entire life, while Quirin as Greg fits because he’d be the parent left trying to raise a kid who has inherited something way bigger and more complicated than either of them fully understands.
Donella as Pearl is the one i keep going back and forth on, but i think it could work really well? especially if Hugo is Connie, because Donella could still have that sort of intense mentor/parental-adjacent relationship with him. Pearl and Connie have that dynamic where Pearl teaches her to fight and kind of projects her own unresolved stuff onto her, so Donella could fill that role with Hugo pretty easily
i’m not totally sure who Hugo’s parents would be in this version, though. maybe Cyrus could work as his older brother/guardian? Like, maybe Hugo doesn’t have the exact same family setup Connie does, but Cyrus being the person responsible for him could still fill that role. It would also make the Nightmare Hospital equivalent really interesting, because Cyrus being protective of Hugo is kinda awwww i think
but i have NO IDEA who the other Crystal Gems would be and um i jsut wanted a second opinion maybe cause you're like the only other person i know who's really into Steven Universe and TTS

Like pearlrose is truly just cassunzel but written better and greg fits eugene sooo well and pink and white is literally gothel and rapunzel I know there was some inspo there okay i JUST CANT PROVE IT.
so i have such a vague idea of an au of that in my head with ryder as steven and i do know in that scenario i imagine varian taking on amethyst’s role, i think that suits him very well to be more of an older sibling type especially considering his relationship w rapunzel. Pearl is obviously cass. But garnet? NO fucking clue. And idk about a connie either (ryders aroace so he gets no love interest but he’s the one most like steven and zach callison is literally his voiceclaim so /j) It rlly just ends at that.
I do agree cyrus being hugos parent would be SOOOO cute actually i can definitely see him as that overprotective stern type and honestly i could see him being a doctor since i totally feel like hed be pretty soft deep down. I actually inspire my interpretation of ulla and varian’s relationship off of rose and steven a LOT…. varian looking for this idealized version of a perfect mother hes been led to believe exists but really ulla is Flawed and MESSY and Human and thats the reality he’s forced to face when he finds her in the library. I mentioned it in the linked post and I’m Pretty sure i’ve ALSO made a post Kind of going into this (at least going into how i interpret their relationship) but i dont know for sure so i’m not gonna go digging for it rn but that scene in storm in the room is just so ulla and varian TO ME
But yeah everyone else. No clue. I honestly think to make it work you’d probably just have to mess around and you wouldn’t be able to stick to the plot or dynamics word for word. Which would definitelyyyy make things difficult. It’s why i’ve never rlly expanded on my own au past vague thoughts looking at gregpearlrose stuff like yessss that’s LITERALLY uknighted dream
