OKAY, so, the aforementioned technical limitations. Already talked about more in depth in part 1, but essentially the squaridot drones, transmission sprites, and pearls all have transparent elements stored in vertex colors that don’t appear properly in noesis, and i don’t have the technical knowledge to figure it out.

This means instead of showing up like this…

squaridot’s transmission sprites in their raw format show up like this.

The first time I just avoided these because i figured there was no way— but i then realized I could just recreate them off of in game screenshots.

and you may think “wow, thats a stupid idea and a complete waste of your time for a game most of the fandom doesn’t even care about” and you would be right! but i did it anyways ❤️ /j

Because. yeah, this took A While. i didn’t end up screenshotting much of my process, but this was especially hard with squaridots transmissions. My best reference for the pearls was my pc copy, where i got the sprites up in their highest quality, because yk, they’re literally all in the intro cutscene, so to see all of them all you have to do is. Start a new file. but i’m still on demantoids world in my pc file and nowhere close to meeting squari, and i wasn’t about to speedrun that shit. So i mostly just had shitty recordings on youtube and my low quality switch videos to go off of 😭😭😭

So this was rlly just a big thing of tracing the covered elements, doing guesswork on how low the opacity should be for the pearl’s skirts/sleeves and honestly just Completely fucking winging it with squari’s transmission screens (her bots weren’t Too bad bc it was literally just her visor) so thank god she only had 3 of those

So like ultimately, these are the most heavily edited sprites I’ve done out of all of them, and they certainly can’t live up to their original quality. but i really hope i did them justice anyways!!!

RAMBLING ASIDE!! DOWNLOAD LINKS!!! I did add these to the initial folder, so the link from the original post obviously updated by default. But just for conveniences sake so you don’t have to go back and get it there— if you DON’T have the first set of sprites, here is the bulk folder that includes all of them:

Now, if you DO have the first set and have already downloaded it onto your pc or something, here is a folder with only this second set.

Now I am gonna copy and paste at least SOME crucial info from the original post here:

1. There's a text document in the zip file that goes into a bit more detail on the Rules of everything, but basically, you don't have to credit me if you use them as they do not belong to me. Don't redistribute them as your own/claim them as official rips, and obviously, do NOT use these for ANY commercial purposes. Grumpyfacestudios and cartoon network/rebecca sugar still retain full rights to the designs and artwork.

2. when you open the folder or unzip the zip file, you'll see two subfolders: "Smoothed" and "Originals_Unsmoothed." It's basically exactly what it says on the tin. The originals are all pixel-y, these are almost Exactly what i got from the noesis screenshots aside from fixing the gaps. When you zoom out, they'll kinda smooth themselves out and your brain fills in the gaps

The "smoothed" ones, I literally just took the final edited sprite and put the csp smooth filter over it. It's really bare bones and just what CSP decides to spit out, so they aren't perfect. There are still some jagged edges, and I did add and remove some pixels to make them smoother in certain cases. I also removed some stray pixels on particular unsmoothed sprites that made them look a little wonky, but i did this INCREDIBLY sparingly and only when I really felt it was necessary.

Ex. Lapis' scared sprite (left is smoothed, right is unsmoothed. you can see some of the jagged edges on the smoothed sprite such as on her waist. That's just what csp spits out and I can't be bothered to fix it manually.)

3. Although you don't have to credit me, i'd love to see if you make any edits with them or something or whatever. Have fun!!! :D

Speaking of which, here’s a little extra detail and something i included for fun. These fusion sprites as you might’ve seen in the screenshots also have variations i’ve made without the star backing or effects!
