An alter a day keeps your memory away
Important!
If someone is dissociating please do not shout or get angry with them, it is not in their control and behaving aggressively will distress them more.
If they are forgetting where or who they are, time, date then gently reminding them is okay, getting frustrated or insisting you are right can confuse and distress them further.
If they become agitated or angry, though it may be a normal reaction to get angry too, this can be very detrimental and make the episode worse, even leading to self harming behaviours, it is very important to stay calm and use safeguarding procedures. Note that they will most likely not remember how they have behaved.
If they become detached with reality, and feel they are not part of the world, or go into a dreamlike state, again be calm, and encourage them to use grounding techniques, be patient and don’t try to do anything unexpected to “snap” them into reality, this will most likely result in some sort of panic attack.
I will post more information on how to help a loved one with dissociation but in the meantime send us a message if you would like more information or have any questions.
Just remember - patience, staying calm and reassurance is key!
Love to anyone struggling with these issues, there are ways to cope, we are here to help ❤️

Dissociating on the Road like...
“I don’t need drugs, I get high on life!”
Is the easiest way I’d describe my derealization.
Some effects of dissociation
- gaps in your memory
- finding yourself in a strange place without knowing how you got there
- out-of-body experiences
- loss of feeling in parts of your body
- distorted views of your body
- forgetting important personal information
- being unable to recognise your image in a mirror
- a sense of detachment from your emotions
- the impression of watching a movie of yourself
- feelings of being unreal
- internal voices and dialogue
- feeling detached from the world
- forgetting appointments
- feeling that a customary environment is unfamiliar
- a sense that what is happening is unreal
- forgetting a talent or learned skill
- a sense that people you know are strangers
- a perception of objects changing shape, colour or size
- feeling you don’t know who you are acting like different people, including child-like behaviour
-being unsure of the boundaries between yourself and others
- feeling like a stranger to yourself
- being confused about your sexuality or gender
- feeling like there are different people inside you
- referring to yourself as ‘we’
- being told by others that you have behaved out of character
- finding items in your possession that you don’t remember buying or receiving
- writing in different handwriting

@nice-worm is a music god and i die
cavetown - Hug all ur friends (uke chords)
Lots of ppl have been asking for the finger placements to hug all ur friends so here’s the chords in order!!! Listen to the track to figure out changeovers :-))
Intro:
For the chord after C basically just move ur finger on the A string up to the 6th fret. Just before the G6 move ur finger up to the 7th fret then back down to 6th (if u listen to the track u will be able to hear what this should sound like). Also just before the Am chord move ur finger on the A string up to the 5th fret.
For the verses and choruses the chords are just the same as above, except without the things i just described in the paragraph above.
I’m sorry i’m so bad at explaining my chord progressions!! Once u get it it’s really simple it’s just the same pattern throughout. Also at the very end on the three notes on “go-oh-oh” i pluck the A E and C strings one after the other to the same rhythm as i’m singing.
Hope this helps!! :-)
