Theyre red-tailed black cockatoos, and they’re super endangered, and they are INCREDIBLY picky eaters. One of the very few foods they eat is She Oaks.

One of their key habitat areas which they use for feeding, nesting, and breeding is on land that’s now owned by the Uniting Church, who are planning on bulldozing the trees to make way for their new building.

The church has planted a whole bunch of SheOak saplings….. but saplings won’t feed the flock that relies on the mature trees that are in line for destruction. The saplings will be able to support flocks 15-20 years into the future, but they can’t right now. The flock needs the existing mature trees.
