Soooo in honor of the 3rd anniversary of the infamous Tokyo trip™ I decided to share a timeline I wrote up quite a while ago (and cleaned up for the occasion). There seemed to be confusion in the fandom regarding when exactly they left, where they went and when, how long the trip lasted etc. so at some point I went through the trouble of scrolling through the tumblr jikook tag/twitter jikook search (especially tweets in Japanese bc I happen to understand the language at an intermediate level) to try and piece things together and this is what I came up with. Is it important? Did we need this at all? Absolutely not, but it’s all I can contribute in this celebration.
Timeline of the info we got while the trip was taking place:
October 28: talks of jikook coming to Japan start around 1pm. Airport pics are shared around 8pm. They left from Busan and were seen off by Jungkook’s father and Jimin’s brother.
(pics are from Gimhae airport in Busan. Even Japanese armys are unsure whether Jikook are actually in Japan until much later)
October 29: we actually got nothing on this day lol. I might have missed some unpopular fanaccounts. No pictures either way.
October 30: rumors/accounts of Jikook being spotted in Shinjuku and Shibuya (including Harajuku and Omotesando). Starting from 10pm, various pics of jikook on the street are shared (both pics taken in the daytime and at nighttime). The two appear to be shopping, judging by the bags Jimin is carrying. In all these pics, Jungkook is wearing his green hoodie and Jimin is wearing a black outfit and a bucket hat (the part of GCFT in the Saint Laurent store as well as Red Rock was clearly filmed on the same day). Note that in GCFT, we can see the shopping happened on Oct 30, so the sightings are from today.
October 31: around 6pm, a pic of Jikook at Disneyland is shared. It is also mentioned that the two watched the fireworks together. Considering the firework show takes place at 8.30pm, one can assume the pic must be from yesterday (as we can also see in GCFT, they’re also wearing the same outfits as in the pics we saw yesterday, with the only difference that jm is wearing a cap insteas of a bucket hat, and a black turtleneck instead of a printed black tshirt). An account from someone who saw them at Disneyland also claims it was a Monday night, which confirms it was the 30th (this also means that most of what we see in GCFT was filmed on Oct 30 except for the beginning).
Around 10pm pics of them at a Gucci store and sorrounding area (Tokyu department store) are shared: in these, jikook are wearing the same outfits they’ll be wearing at the airport when they go back to Korea, so I believe these pictures are from today, unlike the Disneyland ones.
November 1: at around 5am pics of jikook at Tokyo airport are shared. They probably left the previous night.
Later we also get accounts from people seeing them in Shibuya the previous day, plus at 4pm someone posts pics of them wandering in Shibuya: jk is wearing the green hoodie and jm is wearing his green jacket. The poster, who ran into them, claims the pics are from the day before yesterday (Oct 30). This seems a bit strange since jm is wearing the green jacket and a cap, unless these pics were taken right before jikook went to Disneyland and Jimin took off his jacket. Either that or OP got it wrong and the pics are either from the 29th or the 31st (assuming they managed to change clothes at some point).
Now, as we know, some months later jikook claimed that the longest walk they’ve ever had was when they walked “the whole day” in Shibuya during their trip. It is unclear which day this was, but I guess it was either the 29th or the 31st, but I’d say the 31st makes more sense since it was Halloween and they were dressed up (if that’s the case, considering they were spotted at the Gucci store that day, they were probably exaggerating a bit when they said they walked the whole day and it was probably the whole afternoon or something like that). So they either walked around Shibuya on the 29th (and nobody recognized them, like jikook themselves claimed), or they did on the 31st but also went to the Gucci store on the same day, and then went to the airport.
THEREFORE, we can conclude the trip went as follows:
October 28: jikook leave for Tokyo from Busan
October 29: unknown. Possible walk around Shibuya wearing costumes
October 30: shopping in Shibuya and Shinjuku; dinner at Red Rock; Disneyland
October 31: possible walk around Shibuya wearing costumes; shopping at Tokyu department store (Gucci store); going back to Korea

Not sure why Suga always has to start something in lives with Jimin. Not to sound like a pjm, but can he get off his back already. Every live so far he has been in with Jimin he always starts something or says something toward him. It was him who said not to put pressure on Tae, that has caused Jimin to get dragged and used to victimize Tae like he's 5. And Jk had to jump in again and have Jimin's back and carry on with the joke. Jimin joking with his members or saying he is gonna open a tik tok is not that man's concern, yet he opens his mouth every time. He is always picking at Jimin and its not cute or funny esp since Jimin clapped back at him and said he picks on him and he basically don't like it and is hurtful. People calling it bickering married couple to downplay it or to push ships, when in reality, no its not. Its rude and unnecessary and you can tell Jimin don't appreciate it and has even started saying things back to him or ignoring him entirely. He even had the audacity to say he can't have long hair anymore cause of Jimin. Oh boohoo. You'll be fine.

tbh it didn't even cross my mind that he might not have gone to Busan after filming AYS jeju cause of his larger suitcase and proximity to his hometown and family & friends that live in Busan. It would just make complete logical sense that he would go there with Jk too since they have been known to travel together even if they aren't dating or whatev

Well sadly that is how the majority of people from their country are extremely homophobic and live by it. Its what they are raised knowing and some don't grow out of it. Which is why I think when Tae got to know Jimin, after him calling him out twice for liking men over his comments about JK (which he did not deny either time) and saying something was wrong with Jimin's mind (which is what they see it as, an illness) is when he probably had a lot of regret and definitely made amends with hand written letters, songs and calling Jimin his one and only best friend and soulmate and saying Jimin is someone he can't live without. Even RM's tone when he asked Jikook if they are a couple and gave them that awkward eye, when they were wearing matching clothes. And Jimin said yeah and did not deny it again. Like props to Jimin for always standing on his damn business. Good thing you can see the members all came around and even started to tease them playfully asking if they were a couple or dating. Definition of, we ain't backing down, so accept us as we are or don't. Growth for sure. Too bad, its not like that with others tho. Heartbreaking. Honestly.

Interesting isn't it. Jikook had a conversation about Jk leaning on and relying on Jimin in the military while they were in Switzerland and when the scene finally airs, they cut the scene entirely, yet during that same dinner date where Jk said that to Jimin, they happen to keep the conversation about Jk saying he had a crush on a "Girl" back in the day, that seem to come out of nowhere cause they decided to cut half their conversation. Cut the stuff about him telling a story about leaning on the man that he happens to be on a gaycation honeymoon with at that time, while conveniently leaving in a story about his past "girl" crush. I smell home-of-phobia. It's Hybe tho, so I'm not surprised they left it in to help with the "straight narrative" considering they did the same with Jk during that whole Seven Era. Noticing.
That was actually a misunderstanding. They didn't cut anything, it was the preview that was misleading. In the preview jk only said "I leaned/was leaning" with no other context so whoever translated the subs just added "on you" because that was the most likely thing he was referring to. In the actual conversation that aired we found out he was actually talking about leaning on a pot and getting burned or something like that. Turns out the context was completely different and it was totally done on purpose by the editors but yeah they didn't actually cut the conversation.
It is certainly interesting though that they decided to keep the "crush" convo. I wonder how they even ended up talking about that. And jm going "no need to cut this" right after, which means before that they were talking about something that they realized would be cut 👀
