Soooo in honor of the 3rd anniversary of the infamous Tokyo trip™ I decided to share a timeline I wrote up quite a while ago (and cleaned up for the occasion). There seemed to be confusion in the fandom regarding when exactly they left, where they went and when, how long the trip lasted etc. so at some point I went through the trouble of scrolling through the tumblr jikook tag/twitter jikook search (especially tweets in Japanese bc I happen to understand the language at an intermediate level) to try and piece things together and this is what I came up with. Is it important? Did we need this at all? Absolutely not, but it’s all I can contribute in this celebration.
Timeline of the info we got while the trip was taking place:
October 28: talks of jikook coming to Japan start around 1pm. Airport pics are shared around 8pm. They left from Busan and were seen off by Jungkook’s father and Jimin’s brother.
(pics are from Gimhae airport in Busan. Even Japanese armys are unsure whether Jikook are actually in Japan until much later)
October 29: we actually got nothing on this day lol. I might have missed some unpopular fanaccounts. No pictures either way.
October 30: rumors/accounts of Jikook being spotted in Shinjuku and Shibuya (including Harajuku and Omotesando). Starting from 10pm, various pics of jikook on the street are shared (both pics taken in the daytime and at nighttime). The two appear to be shopping, judging by the bags Jimin is carrying. In all these pics, Jungkook is wearing his green hoodie and Jimin is wearing a black outfit and a bucket hat (the part of GCFT in the Saint Laurent store as well as Red Rock was clearly filmed on the same day). Note that in GCFT, we can see the shopping happened on Oct 30, so the sightings are from today.
October 31: around 6pm, a pic of Jikook at Disneyland is shared. It is also mentioned that the two watched the fireworks together. Considering the firework show takes place at 8.30pm, one can assume the pic must be from yesterday (as we can also see in GCFT, they’re also wearing the same outfits as in the pics we saw yesterday, with the only difference that jm is wearing a cap insteas of a bucket hat, and a black turtleneck instead of a printed black tshirt). An account from someone who saw them at Disneyland also claims it was a Monday night, which confirms it was the 30th (this also means that most of what we see in GCFT was filmed on Oct 30 except for the beginning).
Around 10pm pics of them at a Gucci store and sorrounding area (Tokyu department store) are shared: in these, jikook are wearing the same outfits they’ll be wearing at the airport when they go back to Korea, so I believe these pictures are from today, unlike the Disneyland ones.
November 1: at around 5am pics of jikook at Tokyo airport are shared. They probably left the previous night.
Later we also get accounts from people seeing them in Shibuya the previous day, plus at 4pm someone posts pics of them wandering in Shibuya: jk is wearing the green hoodie and jm is wearing his green jacket. The poster, who ran into them, claims the pics are from the day before yesterday (Oct 30). This seems a bit strange since jm is wearing the green jacket and a cap, unless these pics were taken right before jikook went to Disneyland and Jimin took off his jacket. Either that or OP got it wrong and the pics are either from the 29th or the 31st (assuming they managed to change clothes at some point).
Now, as we know, some months later jikook claimed that the longest walk they’ve ever had was when they walked “the whole day” in Shibuya during their trip. It is unclear which day this was, but I guess it was either the 29th or the 31st, but I’d say the 31st makes more sense since it was Halloween and they were dressed up (if that’s the case, considering they were spotted at the Gucci store that day, they were probably exaggerating a bit when they said they walked the whole day and it was probably the whole afternoon or something like that). So they either walked around Shibuya on the 29th (and nobody recognized them, like jikook themselves claimed), or they did on the 31st but also went to the Gucci store on the same day, and then went to the airport.
THEREFORE, we can conclude the trip went as follows:
October 28: jikook leave for Tokyo from Busan
October 29: unknown. Possible walk around Shibuya wearing costumes
October 30: shopping in Shibuya and Shinjuku; dinner at Red Rock; Disneyland
October 31: possible walk around Shibuya wearing costumes; shopping at Tokyu department store (Gucci store); going back to Korea

Well seeing how Jimin just shot down Jk making a ranking video about him and Jk saying he has to, he can't take it anymore.. something tells me whatever Jk had planned with that camera in Japan, will probably never see the light of day anytime soon. We been knew Jimin calls the shots and him shutting down Jk wanting to make something and post him, only to be told no by Jimin, explains the theories alot of jkk has said for a while. Jk follows his lead, which is probably super frustrating for Jk. He is the more open one, Jimin the more closed one. If it was up to Jk, Jimin would be all over his IG and all them videos and pics he takes of Jimin would be flaunted in ours faces, we all know it, but instead he has to gatekeep everything. Which is ironic, since Jimin will be like he has all these videos he takes (of me) but he never posts them. Well do you blame him? You are probably giving him whiplash and mixed signals on how much he can share, so he says hell with it, he will just keep it to himself so he don't end up in the dog house. A part of me understands, but I also feel bad for Jk. Not being able to post freely and express how you feel must suck. He seems to be able to freely post anyone, but how many times we gonna hear Jimin say no, esp when others post Jimin. Not only does Jk have to worry about antis reaction over posting Jimin, he has to worry about Jimin's approval too apparently. Hopefully one day Jimin lets go a bit and lets Jk do what he wants. Jk deserves that right to post about Jimin like anyone else, but we know at the end of the day, its Jimin's call.
Sorry Jimin, this time I'm team Jk. Let the man make what he wants too. how can you say not to face? And that, I can't take it anymore. He's kinda begging Jimin. :(

As for everything else... Way to bring down the mood ☹️ Lol j/k. I think it's pretty obvious by now that jikook have different approaches as to how their relationship has to be handled in public but also both need to agree for something to be shared hence all the gatekeeping and jk's clear frustration. It is indeed a little sad but at the end of the day it's for their own good. Jm is, after all, the one who's more rational and keeps jk grounded. Can you imagine if jk really was allowed to do whatever he wants? Chaos would ensue immediately 😂

And you know what's funny, since Jimin wrote this song, I seen nothing by honesty and openness from Jikook, more than we ever have. And knowing he filmed the video to this song and walked right off that stage and went straight to Jk right after and they immediately left for Sapporo a few hours later, to spend time together before their joint enlistment or as Jk says, using a show for a vacation, is really the icing on the cake. Jikook really be playing in our faces, but its such an easy game to figure out, cause the puzzle pieces always fall together easy. Jikook really make it easy to see the truth. That "Yes Sir" really speaks volumes. Oh and this song was released on International Pride Day, just in case someone forgot. Coincidence? I dunno, but the universe always moves in their direction, so I'd say, more intentional, at this point, to me, if I'm being honest. None of this is a coincidence. It's always been Jikook.

Lol you just reminded me of a tweet I saw of someone who wanted to watch the latest Jikook live while eating their dinner so she could pretend to be at a dinner with them but she said they didn't look at the camera once and felt like she was being ignored so she stopped 🤣😭 I'm not sure I would sign up for it, I would be hoping one of them would pay attention to me for once only for them to continue their inside jokes with each other that I can't participate in. Cat's out of the bag. It seems Jikook visited Busan together during their vacation in 2024 and ate at a restaurant and they are just now confirming it. This is why Jimin looked right at Jk in the AMA live, when he said its been a while since he's been back there. Which also makes you realize Jikook do in fact keep truths to themselves about their time together, because when he said he had not been back there since their last concert, we know that isn't true right away, just cause he was saw by karmy in 2023, visited family in 2022 and now apparently was with Jk in 2024. We already said they keep stuff on the DL, but Jimin should have known the truth would come out sooner or later. I get he tries to deflect, but sometimes its better to not say anything lol, cause now you got caught. Personally, I thought from the beginning he was talking about not going back and visiting like for personal vacations and concerts, not necessarily going to see his family, which is probably what they were doing. Apart from the annoyance in your inbox, I don't know if its just me, or if any of you feel the same, but lately I feel like jkk aren't doing Jikook any favors on any platform. For example, I seen some coming from their cinema experience and being like, I feel sad, Jimin got no cheers at all. Or Tk got the loudest cheers or busan has turned into Tk land and I'm like is the glue uncapped here, what the hell are you sniffing to be out here setting Jimin up like this and feeding into tkk delusions. I understand, it can be upsetting to go somewhere and feel a member deserves more cheers or a ship deserves more recognition, but why the hell you making it publicized? It won't change anything. It never has. This same thing happened last time, so why even put that out there? Do you want Jimin to know he got no cheers? Do you want Jikook to know they got no support in Busan? Which is utter bullshit and everyone knows it. I think things like this infuriate me the most. Somethings need to be kept off the timeline, cause all you doing is feeding antis right now and making them feel powerful. Like I said. Maybe its just me.
Anyways. Jikook are loved. Jikook are thriving. jikook are happy. Stan Jikook for clear skin and rewatch AYS, since we know season 3 is around the corner. Too many good things happening to focus on stupid crap.
