Soooo in honor of the 3rd anniversary of the infamous Tokyo trip™ I decided to share a timeline I wrote up quite a while ago (and cleaned up for the occasion). There seemed to be confusion in the fandom regarding when exactly they left, where they went and when, how long the trip lasted etc. so at some point I went through the trouble of scrolling through the tumblr jikook tag/twitter jikook search (especially tweets in Japanese bc I happen to understand the language at an intermediate level) to try and piece things together and this is what I came up with. Is it important? Did we need this at all? Absolutely not, but it’s all I can contribute in this celebration.
Timeline of the info we got while the trip was taking place:
October 28: talks of jikook coming to Japan start around 1pm. Airport pics are shared around 8pm. They left from Busan and were seen off by Jungkook’s father and Jimin’s brother.
(pics are from Gimhae airport in Busan. Even Japanese armys are unsure whether Jikook are actually in Japan until much later)
October 29: we actually got nothing on this day lol. I might have missed some unpopular fanaccounts. No pictures either way.
October 30: rumors/accounts of Jikook being spotted in Shinjuku and Shibuya (including Harajuku and Omotesando). Starting from 10pm, various pics of jikook on the street are shared (both pics taken in the daytime and at nighttime). The two appear to be shopping, judging by the bags Jimin is carrying. In all these pics, Jungkook is wearing his green hoodie and Jimin is wearing a black outfit and a bucket hat (the part of GCFT in the Saint Laurent store as well as Red Rock was clearly filmed on the same day). Note that in GCFT, we can see the shopping happened on Oct 30, so the sightings are from today.
October 31: around 6pm, a pic of Jikook at Disneyland is shared. It is also mentioned that the two watched the fireworks together. Considering the firework show takes place at 8.30pm, one can assume the pic must be from yesterday (as we can also see in GCFT, they’re also wearing the same outfits as in the pics we saw yesterday, with the only difference that jm is wearing a cap insteas of a bucket hat, and a black turtleneck instead of a printed black tshirt). An account from someone who saw them at Disneyland also claims it was a Monday night, which confirms it was the 30th (this also means that most of what we see in GCFT was filmed on Oct 30 except for the beginning).
Around 10pm pics of them at a Gucci store and sorrounding area (Tokyu department store) are shared: in these, jikook are wearing the same outfits they’ll be wearing at the airport when they go back to Korea, so I believe these pictures are from today, unlike the Disneyland ones.
November 1: at around 5am pics of jikook at Tokyo airport are shared. They probably left the previous night.
Later we also get accounts from people seeing them in Shibuya the previous day, plus at 4pm someone posts pics of them wandering in Shibuya: jk is wearing the green hoodie and jm is wearing his green jacket. The poster, who ran into them, claims the pics are from the day before yesterday (Oct 30). This seems a bit strange since jm is wearing the green jacket and a cap, unless these pics were taken right before jikook went to Disneyland and Jimin took off his jacket. Either that or OP got it wrong and the pics are either from the 29th or the 31st (assuming they managed to change clothes at some point).
Now, as we know, some months later jikook claimed that the longest walk they’ve ever had was when they walked “the whole day” in Shibuya during their trip. It is unclear which day this was, but I guess it was either the 29th or the 31st, but I’d say the 31st makes more sense since it was Halloween and they were dressed up (if that’s the case, considering they were spotted at the Gucci store that day, they were probably exaggerating a bit when they said they walked the whole day and it was probably the whole afternoon or something like that). So they either walked around Shibuya on the 29th (and nobody recognized them, like jikook themselves claimed), or they did on the 31st but also went to the Gucci store on the same day, and then went to the airport.
THEREFORE, we can conclude the trip went as follows:
October 28: jikook leave for Tokyo from Busan
October 29: unknown. Possible walk around Shibuya wearing costumes
October 30: shopping in Shibuya and Shinjuku; dinner at Red Rock; Disneyland
October 31: possible walk around Shibuya wearing costumes; shopping at Tokyu department store (Gucci store); going back to Korea

This is so pathetic, and that’s why when I stop liking BTS, it’ll be all of them I’m not going to pick just Jimin or Jungkook or any one member. It feels like hell; I always see everyone suffering, and it feels like agony. To top it all off, even though BTS surely knows about their solo fans, it’s as if these people aren’t supporting anyone because it’ll always be ARMY no matter what happens, it’s always ARMY for them. plus, how everyone jumps on the OT1 and OT2 bandwagon because they think that member is being mistreated that’s not why I became a fan in the first place. I’m not someone who plays up the members as victims, and I know they can stand up for themselves. Sorry for this, but it just seems weird to me to be a fan of someone and feel uncomfortable with the atmosphere, having to put up with it just because of a few interactions and their musical activities...
It's not that I don't get what these anons are saying because I really do (I'm not an army myself so), it's just that I don't understand why people stay when they're so miserable. Actual solo/double stanning is weird to me. Of course you can like someone better. You may even just be interested in that someone and not the others and that's ok. But this type of stanning where everything within a group is always a competition, everyone is always jealous of your fave, your fave is mistreated, the others are all monsters who hate your fave... I just don't understand how this could be enjoyable. If you stan someone who is part of an active group, group content is what you're gonna get most of the time. Especially for a group like BTS that's never been focused on solos. The solo stuff was mostly to fill the hole that military service left; it was an exception, and now we're back to the norm. I personally have no problem enjoying jikook mostly through group content even if I'm not really interested in the other members. I mostly follow accounts focused on jm/jk/jikook anyway and anything else I happen to see is incidental but it doesn't bother me and there's actually stuff I will enjoy even if it's not jikook (I love jinkook's interactions for example; I don't actively look for their concert moments but a lot of the time they'll cross my tl and I'm happy to see them). You know what I mean? Everyone can do whatever they want of course but actively disliking the group your fave is part of just doesn't seem worth it to me because it necessarily means you'll be dissatisfied most of the time.

Everyone knows it too, down to seeing him calling out his friend for liking men saying something was wrong with him, to acknowledging it was wrong of him to do that and made up it up to him, but still choosing as an adult to hang around problematic people with homophobic allegations, among other things, and being the one who said he wants and wife and kids, who showed off his girlfriend, parading his straight relationship around, who blasted shippers for shipping him with his male bandmate, but no one is ready for that conversation, esp his insecure parasocial fans who cast him in the role of liking men, cause the thought of him being with gorgeous women, sends chills down their spines knowing it will never be them in her position. The fact they still go against what he has shown and said, is honestly disrespectful to him. And he clearly has set the record straight, literally, but knows he can't say too much without pissing everyone off and probably doesn't want to alienate fans. And the fact people see it as a drag, when it absolutely is not, if you remind people of things he's said and shown, says alot about their own mental state and that they can't handle it. They invalidate his words and things he's shown, to cope. Sad, honestly. He should tell them all to fck off, honestly and he has in so many words. lol
He's always been extremely clear about his preferences and goals in life tbh but people will see what they wanna see. But for the record, questionable frienships aside, I do not think he's a homophobe. He was an ignorant teenager when he made those comments about jm and I'm sure he has learned to be better towards him (and jk). I would be shocked if he "called out" jm for liking men now. I think he's been trying to be a better ally. That phase he went through where he was really into queer media/artists was probably part of that too.

Everyone was eager to go solo, while Jimin was crying cause he said he is not a soloist. His own best friend said openly the group was holding him back and he was ready for solo. Jk didn't seem to handle solo era well either and was in a bad place, but got more happier once we saw Jimin coming back around and the change was noticeable. What the others didn't expect was for these two to explode the biggest, hit billboard #1, out sell everyone, out chart everyone, even out chart BTS as a group and now suddenly all those that were saying the group was holding them back, or was eager to go solo, saw their fans never showed up for them, are suddenly back to screaming OT7 for life and they will hit any members who want to go solo and break up the group. Hypocrisy is you ask me, cause something tells me if their stuff would have been more successful than what it was, cause I'm not saying they weren't successful, cause they were, but Jikook outshined everyone and if it have been vice versa, I bet there would be no threatening to hit for wanting to go solo. So I imagine if Jimin or Jk tried to push for their solo tour, even tho they deserve it cause some others got it, they'd be guilt tripped or members would ask to be part of their show, cause they asked them to go along to theirs. Just like I think AYS probably ticked some of them off, cause it also pushed Jikook away from the pack.

I don't think you're exactly wrong, calling it experimenting, since that happens with alot of queer experience and I would say it could apply to both of them, honestly. I think they both messed around with women, sure, but there are lots of queer men who dated women for years, were intimate with them, even had children with them, but knew deep down all along, something was off, or was hiding who they were cause they had not come to terms with it themselves or were scared to come out. Too many famous queer celebs in this same scenario. Went on to have families with women, but them come out at 60 years old, saying they knew they were gay when they were teenagers. Even Elvira, every straight male (and female) fantasy, said she didn't come out during the height of her career with her girlfriend, cause of her career/image, so they chose to keep it a secret for like 20 years. Closets are scary and they're not the same. Jimin's closet might be different from Jk's and its possible these women were rebounds or maybe they felt they were doing what society told them was acceptable, so it is experimenting in a way. There was an actor in the 50's who said he paid beards to go on double dates with him and his equally attractive actor secret boyfriend, because they were up and coming heartthrob actors and didn't wanna risk being blacklisted. I think Jikook are both queer, I won't label it more than that, but the proof is out there, they're both into each other and in order to be into each other, that means they're queer. They've all but said it and shown it for years. Only haters turn a blind eye to it.
Yeah of course, we know this happens a lot (even now) in the entertainment industry. And it's probably pretty common in the kpop industry specifically considering that Korean society isn't exactlyy very gay friendly. I think the reason why people, even jikookers, have trouble accepting this possibility is that it seems to clash with jikook's personalities and especially jk's. He's the kind of guy you'd except to keep his dating life private and simply avoid relationship talk altogether no matter what people people say about him rather than getting a beard or forcing himself to date/sleep with women because of his image. Unfortunately, reality is harsh and there are some things you just can't understand unless you experience them. So yeah in the end it could be. Only they know what they've been going through.
