Soooo in honor of the 3rd anniversary of the infamous Tokyo tripβ’ I decided to share a timeline I wrote up quite a while ago (and cleaned up for the occasion). There seemed to be confusion in the fandom regarding when exactly they left, where they went and when, how long the trip lasted etc. so at some point I went through the trouble of scrolling through the tumblr jikook tag/twitter jikook search (especially tweets in Japanese bc I happen to understand the language at an intermediate level) to try and piece things together and this is what I came up with. Is it important? Did we need this at all? Absolutely not, but itβs all I can contribute in this celebration.
Timeline of the info we got while the trip was taking place:
October 28: talks of jikook coming to Japan start around 1pm. Airport pics are shared around 8pm. They left from Busan and were seen off by Jungkookβs father and Jiminβs brother.Β
(pics are from Gimhae airport in Busan. Even Japanese armys are unsure whether Jikook are actually in Japan until much later)
October 29: we actually got nothing on this day lol. I might have missed some unpopular fanaccounts. No pictures either way.
October 30: rumors/accounts of Jikook being spotted in Shinjuku and Shibuya (including Harajuku and Omotesando). Starting from 10pm, various pics of jikook on the street are shared (both pics taken in the daytime and at nighttime). The two appear to be shopping, judging by the bags Jimin is carrying. In all these pics, Jungkook is wearing his green hoodie and Jimin is wearing a black outfit and a bucket hat (the part of GCFT in the Saint Laurent store as well as Red Rock was clearly filmed on the same day). Note that in GCFT, we can see the shopping happened on Oct 30, so the sightings are from today.
October 31: around 6pm, a pic of Jikook at Disneyland is shared. It is also mentioned that the two watched the fireworks together. Considering the firework show takes place at 8.30pm, one can assume the pic must be from yesterday (as we can also see in GCFT, theyβre also wearing the same outfits as in the pics we saw yesterday, with the only difference that jm is wearing a cap insteas of a bucket hat, and a black turtleneck instead of a printed black tshirt). An account from someone who saw them at Disneyland also claims it was a Monday night, which confirms it was the 30th (this also means that most of what we see in GCFT was filmed on Oct 30 except for the beginning).
Around 10pm pics of them at a Gucci store and sorrounding area (Tokyu department store) are shared: in these, jikook are wearing the same outfits theyβll be wearing at the airport when they go back to Korea, so I believe these pictures are from today, unlike the Disneyland ones.
November 1: at around 5am pics of jikook at Tokyo airport are shared. They probably left the previous night.Β
Later we also get accounts from people seeing them in Shibuya the previous day, plus at 4pm someone posts pics of them wandering in Shibuya: jk is wearing the green hoodie and jm is wearing his green jacket. The poster, who ran into them, claims the pics are from the day before yesterday (Oct 30). This seems a bit strange since jm is wearing the green jacket and a cap, unless these pics were taken right before jikook went to Disneyland and Jimin took off his jacket. Either that or OP got it wrong and the pics are either from the 29th or the 31st (assuming they managed to change clothes at some point).
Now, as we know, some months later jikook claimed that the longest walk theyβve ever had was when they walkedΒ βthe whole dayβ in Shibuya during their trip. It is unclear which day this was, but I guess it was either the 29th or the 31st, but Iβd say the 31st makes more sense since it was Halloween and they were dressed up (if thatβs the case, considering they were spotted at the Gucci store that day, they were probably exaggerating a bit when they said they walked the whole day and it was probably the whole afternoon or something like that). So they either walked around Shibuya on the 29th (and nobody recognized them, like jikook themselves claimed), or they did on the 31st but also went to the Gucci store on the same day, and then went to the airport.Β
THEREFORE, we can conclude the trip went as follows:
October 28: jikook leave for Tokyo from Busan
October 29: unknown. Possible walk around Shibuya wearing costumes
October 30: shopping in Shibuya and Shinjuku; dinner at Red Rock; Disneyland
October 31: possible walk around Shibuya wearing costumes; shopping at Tokyu department store (Gucci store); going back to Korea

He didn't just do that with an Army, the waiter and the girl in the audience, pulling Jimin's attention away. This here, when Vminkook were in jeju, cracks me up so bad. The urgency in JK's voice and turning his back to Tae to show Jimin a trick when Vmin were messing around doing a trick and Tae was gonna show him something and Jk kept cutting them off, saying look at me Jimin, look at me and turning his back on Tae facing Jimin to show him. He is literally that "notice me, senpai" meme. I know Tae was already done 5 minutes after being there in Jeju. They just landed he was already told to go back home like 3 times, asked why he was there like 5 times and had his back turned on so Jk could show Jimin his trick instead lol. The desperation in Jk's voice is frying me.
JK: I'll show you, look.
JK: Jimin, look.
JK: Watch.
JK: Jimin, watch me.
Jk: Look at me.
I just don't think Jk's happy with the overall situation he and Jimin are in and I don't think he's adjusting to it and hasn't really since they been home. Imagine going from having your love by your side every single day for 18 months. everything you do revolves around that other person. Eating with them, sleeping with them, living with them, serving with them, doing and caring for them, to now having to wait to see if you can get an opening seat next to him. I'd crash out too. And the way Jk has been hovering and yearning again, I'd say he's getting fed up. Imagine being sent to the back of the line after AYS and Joint enlistment. I'd be so damn pissed at everyone. Even on this tour, off camera, I imagine they still limit themselves. Just cause members may know about them, doesn't mean they're gonna flaunt it. I know damn well Jimin wouldn't and so that probably also takes a toll on them. And Jimin can act like he's unbothered, but we see his muscle memory come through. Like yesterday he was the one acting clingy when sitting together. At one point he went to snuggle up to Jk during the ment and stopped himself. Its okay Jimin. You can nap on his chest later. I feel for them both honestly, but Jk is who I'd worry about. A couple more beers in him the other night and he might've showed us his whole camera roll of SEXY JIMIN. lol
Oh anon this made me sad. I'm afraid you make a good point. Paradoxically they looked more adjusted in the first few months after discharge (scandals aside) than they are now, probably because they're on tour and are expected to interact but at the same time everything is watched and overanalyzed. They were also probably just happy they weren't in the military anymore lol. Even if they were together, ms is not a walk in the park. And obviously they had to limit themselves there too because well, it's the military and all, but at the same time they weren't watched constantly by the media, fans, sasaengs. It must have been such a stark change. And the tour was another change. Jm's "muscle memory kicking in" moment made me a little sad π It's rare to see him slip like that.
I see so many people saying that jk is fed up and that he's gonna explode any minute now. I agree, but it's also true he's been looking like he's gonna explode any minute for years now lol. I admire his self control even though he clearly struggles a lot with it. I guess we'll see...
It's still there. It was Jimin on the big screen and he started to do his Save Me dance and after 1 second, it cut off from him and went to Hobi on the big screen and showed him on the big screen doing the dance instead, while Jimin was still dancing off camera. Whoever is in charge of these shows, is treating Jimin like garbage with these camera shots. Even during his solos parts, the camera will instead show other duos goofing off. Well we're this many shows in and Jimin would be well aware of how he's treated and the fact it keeps happening, means he hasn't said anything. So complaining at this point is useless, cause only Jimin can say hey, I'm part of this group and my fans can't even see me, without looking for fancams, but its never gonna happen. So this is what it is. A humiliation tour that is boring and catered to certain ships. Embarrassing, to be honest.

In Jikook's live he kept talking about his neck and disc pain and Jimin telling him he better take care of himself. He was seen wearing pain tape on his neck too and back to back two large members jumped on his back. I get they're men horsing around, but maybe they should actually take that into consideration when doing their horseplay. Even Jin dumping Jk on his neck in the NYE live and Jimin was the only one who was dead ass worried, while everyone else laughed. Maybe Jk doesn't discuss with them how much pain he is in, like he does Jimin, but still. Also Jimin has been seen on stage saying it hurts and even looked like he couldn't get up at one point too. That company is shameless for letting them come out of the military and only gave them 2 weeks before sending them straight to work. Jimin's body was put through hell and Jk said that over and over in his live, that Jimin had it really bad, way worse than him. I hope they're able to rest these next few days.
Yeah I saw :( I've been worried since the tour was announced tbh. It's so frigging long. They will inevitably get hurt/sick and it has already started. And there are still so many dates... Idk when they'll be able to get some proper rest.

I wish I had been a fan before 2020 and had seen their concerts back then. They were younger and hungrier, more passionate and sentimental. I attended a concert in 2021 and one a few months ago, and while I enjoyed both, there was a massive change in vibe.
I never went to a concert in person but I followed the whole lys/sys tour through livestreams and well, let's just say it was very different. At least we still have the dvds!

In Jk's defense. Jimin don't get to scold him and pout and roll his eyes over a fan saying they'd marry Jk, while he gets to be all cute and point at a fan going nuts over him, on Jk's watch and expect him not to turn into the hunk mature one and remind Jimin he's right there too lol. It goes both ways.
We love a balanced relationship where both people are equally jealous and possessive π
They weren't saying YM's we ate tonight when Suga was going through his mess and they were licking D's ass calling her their queen, sending her money and gifts and making thirst edits about her. He wasn't even on their mind, cause they didn't need him for Jimin anymore. They had their queen they thought came and saved JK from Jimin's siren, temptrest, forbidden Jibooty. I hope the cult know no one takes that ship serious either, no matter how much they force it. Jimin wants a buff man who can put him through a wall and they know that.
