Being pan just means that you can experience attraction regardless of gender and expression. It doesn’t necessarily mean that you like everyone equally all the time. Gender becomes more of a characteristic that doesn’t make or break attraction for you. Meanwhile, other characteristics like hair color (blond or brunet? black or red?) can still be a part of a type. Because what’s a type but a set of characteristics that you enjoy.
