Ooo, I'll make a page with taken gods listed out later this evening, but for now, I'll just list them here:

As you can see, we're heavy on Greek gods--which is all good, we love 'em! But for the sake of some variety, it'd be cool to see gods from other pantheons. We typically hesitate to make too many specific suggestions, 'cause above all else, we like to welcome characters that inspire YOU. But off the top of my head, here's a variety of deities I've really loved learning about over the years that could make cool characters:

She snapped them both out of their separate reveries, voice as calm and cool as ever, even as she delivered bizarre information. The voice of reason, he chuckled to himself.

"See now usually if someone told me it was an old Cherokee story, I'd assume they were making shit up." Folks in these parts loved to attribute every last oddity to the Cherokee without knowing a damn thing about the actual Cherokee. They were a catch-all for all things mystical and as a purveyor of authentic communication, it irritated the hell out of him. But Ailith could always cite her sources.

Regardless of who they were, who'd seen them first, or who was responsible, they seemed to exist. And now they seemed to be in Goodluck.

"I honestly couldn't tell you if they're friendly or not. Details are...random...and sketchy at best. They do seem to be reclusive though. Something that does consistently come up is stone forts they apparently built in the wilderness."

Ailith turned her head and looked out the large window at the front of the shop. Her mind wandering in thought of what might be the most likely place to find them. "The woods around the old quarry."

We'd welcome it! We've already got The Morrigan, which while not exclusively a death god, still dabbles in that trade. So there'd certainly be a place for them!

"Everything's good." Nico nodded at the small wooden stall set up in front of the fenced in little vegetable garden surrounding their trailer. The stall was stocked well, currently with winter vegetables and hand-labeled bottles of wine.

He'd been in America longer than Ailith, but his grip on folklore was more bayou-based than what Goodluck was steeped in. Miss Keen, on the other hand, had a preternatural ability to find information about the furthest corners of the world from her spot behind the shop counter.

"We both know it ain't fucking aliens, otherwise there'd be bigger names in town by now. That's a good one for the hucksters to latch onto though, that'll kill real suspicion faster than anything I can do. But I still wanna know what the hell's hanging out in the woods."

That bit of truth didn't stop him from admiring the smaller, more valuable items she kept under lock and key in the glass display case beneath the counter. He moseyed along the length of it until he was directly across from where she sat perched. Then he offered a genuine grin--not his politician's magnanimous smile, tuned to just the right balance of ass-kissing and humility. No, Miss Keen got the real deal. She'd earned it.

"I suspect you already knew it was business, but thanks for allowing me a moment to pretend otherwise." He didn't want to worry her too much, so he rapped his knuckles idly on the counter and got right to the point of his visit. "You seen this video that went viral?"

Rob was an old hand at controlling the flow of information. Centuries of overseeing negotiations gave a guy a certain mastery over that kind of thing. Hell, even with the advent of the cameraphone, Rob kept on top of his business. But given how much odd shit happened in Gooduck, it was a statistical fact that things had to go sideways every so often.

Since the eclipse earlier in the week, residents of Goodluck have observed strange animal behavior and curious weather-related phenomena. But as odd as it's been, none of it interrupted their day-to-day lives. ...Until a tourist on a road trip uploaded a video that she'd captured while passing through Goodluck and the damn thing went viral. All it shows is two short, pale figures, bearded and holding hands as they dart away from the road into the tree-line. But something about their eyes has people unsettled, so now news stations and self-professed cryptozoologists are nosing around town, demanding answers. Most of the fine people of Goodluck are irritated, stuck dealing with absurd inquiries from conspiracy theorists when they've got better things to do. But others want answers as well. What the hell is roaming out in the woods?

We do! We basically treat tumblr like the canon receptacle to keep things organized and archive-able, so that's where standard threads are written back and forth. But discord is totally open to in-character stuff, and any IC interaction that happens on discord that you want to treat as "canon" material, you post it to tumblr.

Absolutely. As long as the character has a human form/face claim to present as, then that totally works! I mean hell, one guy's a leprechaun, lol. For the sake of classification in the application, we'd consider the character a demigod, but each character can have whatever relationship to godliness or humanness you like!
