Y’all, it’s been a real struggle for your Black girl. I’ve been bawling my eyes out trying to find work, especially after going through interviews and then finding out they chose someone else. It’s been heartbreaking and frustrating, but I’m still trying to keep going and find something. Im raising $2,500 in survival funds for September and October to help cover rent, which is due on the 3rd of each month, food/hygiene, phone service, and my car payment. I really don’t want to risk having my car repossessed, especially because I’ll need it to get to work once I’m employed. September is also my birthday, and honestly, I’m just hoping to make it through these next couple of months. The world feels like such a scary place right now. I’m hoping to have a job by October and get back on my feet. Once I’m in a better position, I want to give back to the community and help others who are struggling too. A short while ago, we shared our story about two tiny kittens who came into our lives after losing their mother. They were alone in the middle of war, hunger, and fear here in Gaza. We promised to protect them as best as we could, even while struggling to provide milk for our own baby.

Today, I write this with deep sadness… we have lost one of the kittens.

My daughter Noor was deeply attached to her. She cried for hours, holding her little blanket, asking why she had to leave us. In a place already filled with loss, this small soul meant comfort and hope to my child. Losing her has added another layer of pain to our hearts.

Now, only one kitten remains. And I am more determined than ever to protect her.

We are still living under extremely difficult conditions in Gaza — shortages, high prices, and constant uncertainty. Providing proper milk and care for the remaining kitten has become even more challenging for us. But I cannot bear to see another innocent life fade away.

I’m writing to you with a very heavy heart. Today, by God’s grace, I had surgery on the tendon in my right hand at the Jordanian Field Hospital after suffering from severe pain for a long time. I truly pray this surgery will ease my pain and help me get back to caring for my family during these very difficult days.

The recovery will not be easy. My hand will stay wrapped and immobilized for more than two weeks, and I will need medication and wound dressings that must be changed every three days.

Life under war and siege is already so hard. We struggle every day just to provide food, clean water, diapers, and the most basic needs for our children. Now, with my hand unable to work and the medical expenses adding up, the burden on my family has become even heavier.
