it doesn't match the style I'd been doing for any of my previous attacks, but it was a lot of fun to do and I think that's what matters. I WILL be swearing off outside backgrounds for another 6-12 months now though.

"I hunt for you with bloodied feet across the hallowed ground..." Secret santa number two, this time for my personal DND group, featuring my friend's pc Nehesi. This piece got real ambitious real quickly so imma treat yall to some detail shots, as well as a flat colour version because I spent AGES detailing those feathers only to shade them into oblivion lmao [image description: a digital illustration depicting Nehesi, a large, powerful sphynx, prowling through an Ancient Greek temple. Her head to turned to look directly towards the viewer, her golden eyes glowing brightly in the dim candlelight. Blood is smeared down her chin and neck, dripping from her teeth as she snarls. Behind her stands a marble and gold statue, depicting a goddess holding a book and quill. Her face is in shadow, darkening her expression. At the foot on the statue are five candles, some of which have just blown out. In the corner lies the crumbled ruins of another statue - visible in the rubble is the head and golden spear of Athena.
