@i_am_tha_real will be performing live at Paint And Poetry this Saturday! J. Steven Williams aka Tha Real is an artist from Brooklyn, New York. He is an accomplished actor, poet, host, curator and author. As an actor he has worked on many short film projects both that he produced or just landed a role. In 2009, he landed a role in the full length film King Of Paper Chasin. An indie Urban Crime Drama based in NYC. This indie film broke ticket sales at the HBO Latino Film Festival totally selling out two showings in a matter of hours. The film has been seen on HBO, SHOWTIME, CINEMAX, NETFLIX and HULU. Currently he plays Lucho on the web series Rap Star The Series. As a poet, he has graced many stages in NYC. From the historic NuyoRican Poets Café to Thought Provoking Poetry Slam, the United Nations to The National Action Network. Not just one to perform at poetry based events. Tha Real has also performed at community based events from Autism Awareness to the home-coming of A political prisoner, the curator of over 90 poetry showcases, open mics and events to date including a reoccurring participant in the 10,000 poets for peace worldwide day of poetry. #paintandpoetry (at Secret Project Robot)

@nonothepoet will be performing live at Paint And Poetry this Saturday! Nomxolisi Ndlangana, commonly known as Nono The Poet, is a native of South Africa; she moved to New York for education, its cultural variety and artistic inclination. She received her BA in Media Studies at Hunter college. Nono formally began her career as a performer in New York in 2011 as a spoken word artist hitting low key stages in Harlem to slamming at the internationally acclaimed Nuyorican Poets Cafe. Nono has developed her artistry throughout the years, fusing her poetry with instrumentals and vocals, taking inspiration from blues, jazz and neo-soul which led to her first project, an EP titled Wet Paint. Her lyrics are simple projections of her social interests with a strong poetic tone. Soul Vagina is her debut poetry compilation. She still lives in New York, and splits her time between her book writing and performing. #paintandpoetry (at Secret Project Robot)

@natajaartist will be performing live at Paint And Poetry this Saturday! All black, all of the time, Na'taja is a Harlem Native. She's traveled the world trying to find herself, rediscover her passions and her purpose. Still exploring, she is currently getting her masters at Teachers College at Columbia University but agreed not to work for the man and instead works for herself. Besides being a traveler, she is also an Artist, Educator, and changemaker. She has given herself the title of the Dream Assistant, as she uses her many artistic talents to bring the dreams of others to fruition. #paintandpoetry (at Secret Project Robot)
