I never imagined my life would bring me here.
I am a transgender gay refugee living in a refugee camp, far away from the home I once knew. I fled because being myself put my safety and my life at risk. Every day, I face discrimination, uncertainty, and fear about what the future holds.
Life in the camp is extremely difficult. Access to food, healthcare, safe shelter, and basic necessities is limited. As an LGBTQ+ person, I often feel isolated and vulnerable. Many people do not understand what it means to live openly as who I am.
Despite everything, I have not given up hope. I dream of a future where I can live safely, continue my education, find meaningful work, and simply exist without fear.
Today, I am reaching out for kindness and support. Whether you can share my story, offer advice, connect me with organizations that help LGBTQ+ refugees, or provide any assistance, it would mean more than words can express.
Every share, message, and act of compassion helps remind me that I am not alone.
Thank you for reading my story and for standing with people who are fighting for the right to live freely and safely.
