Takumi hadn’t even lifted the glass of ketchup-water past the point they had it before, settling just to watch Blake sputter the spicy mixture everywhere. Ahh, sweet unofficial victory. They patted his back lightly to help, even slightly.

He looked unamused and a little betrayed as he drew the back of a hand over his lips. He leaned over and pressed a finger against their nose while staring them in the face.

“You are an ass,” he finally managed to rasp, after letting out a few coughs. After another wheeze, he presses the half-finished glass of spice into Tak’s other hand before theatrically groaning and lowering himself to the floor.

“Help, you’ve slain me, tell my wife and children that I love them.”

“Purrhaps it is. Last time I made you swipe a pair of Scar’s jammies, so if you think you can come up with better…”

Out the door, and back in within five minutes. Two small glasses of what appear to be red juices with pulp floating around were in their hands; Takumi put one in Blake’s hand.

“First one to finish the glass wins. Loser buys lunch and wears Scar’s boxers on their head for a day.”

What they didn’t say was that the glass Blake had been given was a mixture of an extra-spicy hot sauce and water; Takumi’s a mixture of a marinara sauce and water. They stood by Blake’s side for a reason, lifting their own cup to their mouth.

He squinted at the liquid that Takumi was sloshing at him. It looked suspiciously like blood, but he trusted Tak enough not that it wasn’t that. Still didn’t make it look any less appetizing. He clinked his glass to their’s, and with a quick “Cheers,” he started chugging it.

... Only to immediately cough as his eyes grew wide at the spicy flavor flooding his mouth.

Cat rules. What risky business, Blake. Takumi switched from fury to a cocky grin immediately.

“Purrhaps it is. Last time I made you swipe a pair of Scar’s jammies, so if you think you can come up with better...”

And there it was – a short, high-pitched, loud screech that could only come from a surprised tiger being pounced on by a devious lion. The fake glasses skidded at least three feet away, and Takumi growled more than fiercely at the offender.

“Aha! You’ve sprung the Great Bl-- Eh wot? You’re not V.”

The ‘offender’ lifted his hands from over Takumi’s eyes with a frown.
