     Lewis canât help but to chuckle a little at their blatant innocence. Ah, kids. Heâd always had more of a soft spot for children, having three little siblings of his own. Maybe he shouldnât have outright said he was a ghost. Oops.
â You mean like these ones? âAt a raise of his hand, little pink spirits emerge from the beating golden heart shaped anchor on his chest, them having a similar quirk on their middles thumping rhythmically along with his. They chirp curiously at Frisk, and circle all around them.
â A skeleton? Well, yeah, I⌠suppose so⌠â He shrugs. His eyes almost seem to light up.Â
  He would have a smirk on his face, if it werenât completely devoid of a jaw.
â Hey! Watch this! â
 Abruptly, Lewis grabs his flaming skull and holds it in one of his gargantuan palms, lowering it down to Friskâs height. He was⌠very tall.Â
â Cool, right?? â He seems proud of himself, awaiting Friskâs reaction, a glint of some sort of childish GLEE in his eye sockets as he peers at them expectantly.
Mismatched eyes widen in glee as they watch the ghosts dance around them, an excited grin spreading on their face as a giggle escapes them.
"Yeah, kinda!" The child replies, turning in a circle to watch the spirits, dancing slightly in place.
His exclamation draws their attention, looking up expectantly before yelping in surprise. They seem almost distressed for a brief moment, but relax upon realizing that it was an intentional move on his part. "Yeah, that's pretty cool."
They appreciated not having to crane their neck to look up at him anymore, even if they hadn't expected that particular action.

â â- M-monster?? Thatâs⌠one way to put it, I guess, kiddo. â     Itâs clear heâs very shaken by this query. Lewis pauses, weaving his large hands together as he leans back with his strangely flexible eye sockets closed.Â
â âŚIâm a ghost. â   How ironic, what heâs become.He could still barely believe it, what had happened, evident by the uncertain tone to his voice. Just not that long ago he was alive⌠and it had all been ripped from him that faithful night.
They squint at him, face scrunched up in intense concentration.
"No you're not. Ghosts are small." The kid holds their hands a foot or two apart in demonstration. "You look more like a skeleton, mister. But not like Sans and Paps, though."
Ah, the adorably blunt curiosity of children. They're doing their best to figure out what he is based on their own experience, but a seven year old doesn't have the widest range, even one who rescued an entire civilization.

A heavy sigh as he stood up.

âLike this, but different. Donât know much about it.â One hand reaches up to play with a soft leather collar loosely affixed around their neck.
âUsually just stay inside, I havenât seen a lot.â
He froze up, touching the collar around his own neck, shivering as he shook his head clear.
âWell⌠Maybe a Swapfell timeline?â
"Don't think so? My friendâhe looks kinda like you." They noticed the momentary lapse, but didn't comment on it. Wasn't anything they needed to know.

Frisk whirled when they heard him, jumping back a few steps and holding their stick out in front of them. Mismatched eyes widened when they finally got a good look at him, stumbling back even farther on trembling legs. The kid didnât seem to hear what he said next, their whole body shaking like a leaf as they pressed their back against a tree.
Oh jeez, thatâs a big monster.
âŚWhoops, seems he went a little overboard, from how badly the child was trembling now. The smaller humans always were much more skittish, but even the way this kid was acting made the horned skeletonâs eyes widen with surprise. For a moment he wasnât sure how to respond before he finally made the first move.
Moving slowly, he went to kneel down at a closer height to the small human, so he didnât tower over them so much. A more gentle smile soon appeared on his face as well and the sarcastic tone left his voice as he spoke up again.
âHey now, no need to be shakinâ like that. Iâm not gonna hurtâcha, and neither is anyone else. Youâre safe here kid.â This child was hardly a killer, and since another human youngster was wandering around and doing no harm, it was safe to say the other dragons wouldnât attack this one either. âI was just tryinâ tah joke around, but I guess it ainât so funny when youâre the small one, huh?â
They gasped when he moved towards him, closing their eyes tight and shrinking back against the tree behind them. But after a few seconds they opened their eyes again, tears sparkling on their cheeks as they looked up in confusion.
He'd gotten closer, but was just talking to them. One arm wiped at their face, scrubbing their tears away wit mosth a sleeve of their sweater as they forced themself to breathe.
"I-I'm sorry." They mumbled, blinking away the wetness in their eyes fiercely before giving him a watery smile.
Stupid baby, stop crying about everything. You're just being a bother that way, no one likes a crybaby.

The looming skeleton says as he steps out on the snowy path behind the child, having gotten a good look at them before hand. A tiny human that wasnât even dressed in armor, or any protective gear for that fact, it was a safe bet to say this child wasnât about to go out hunting for any dragons.
Didnât mean he couldnât poke a bit of fun though, especially when he noticed they were carrying a stick of all things at their side. Was that their weapon?
âThatâs gotta take some skill to slay a dragon with only a stick, you uppinâ the challenge for yourself, little human?â
