Wildfires Blaze Through Pacific Northwest Tribal Lands
It’s hot and dry across the region, making for tinderbox conditions.
Firefighters, pilots and equipment operators are mobilized across much of Indian Country in Washington and Oregon, to rein in wildfires that have endangered many tribal communities.
Amidst the powwow season and canoe journey season festivities, multiple tribes are currently being impacted by wildfires, and homes, livestock, pets, and valuables are in danger of being lost.
As wildfires burn through Native nations in Oregon and Washington, communities across both states have banded together to set up sites to do
Above is an article describing what tribes are currently impacted. There is also a lot of information for WA/OR locals on where to drop off physical donations contained within it. If you are unsure of the current status of drop-off locations, check the official website(s) or Facebook profile(s) of the tribe(s) you wish to donate to.

The Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs Wildfire Recovery Fund
The Warm Springs reservation is currently at a Level 1 (Be Ready) evacuation notice. This is an improvement, they were at Level 3 a few days ago! Donations are still needed.
Direct contact information for tribal leaders coordinating corporate or government donations, supply donations, and volunteer efforts can be found here.
I'm not sure how up-to-date this is, but as of a few days ago the Warm Springs Water Coalition was looking for more locations in East Portland or Gresham, Clackamas, Boring, or Sandy where they could stage donations, as well as additional supplies and logistics support for water donations. If you have an empty warehouse, storage unit, or garage that they could use, or if you can get a large amount of milk crates or towing capacity to help get water from Portland to the reservation, email [email protected].
(This contact info is from activist friends who I trust, but if you'd prefer to go with a direct contact to the tribe, there's email address and phone numbers in the Oregonian article linked above.)
