By His Grace and for His Glory

God knows what we need, and all that he does is for our good. If we really knew how much he loves us, we would be ready to receive anything from his hand, the good and the bad, the sweet and the bitter, as if it didn’t make any difference. So be satisfied with your condition even if it is one of sickness and distress. Take courage. Offer your pain to God. Pray for strength to endure; adore him even in your infirmities.

Sometimes loneliness is God’s cry for friendship with you.

To think you can love God without being changed by Him, is to think you can jump into the ocean and not get wet. To really love Him, you must understand that your life is going to be wrecked by Him, and built again into something beautiful, something lasting.

There are no crown-wearers in heaven who were not cross-bearers here below.

Your worst days are never so bad that you are beyond the reach of God’s grace. And your best days are never so good that you are beyond the need of God’s grace

A thousand times Lord I’ve thanked you for my roses. Today I’m saying thank you for the thorns.

God Himself is our reward, and all other desires fade into nothing before His greatness.

But it was Jesus who taught me there was nothing I could really lose if I had Him.

If my life is surrendered to God, all is well. Let me not grab it back, as though it were in peril in His hand but would be safer in mine!
