Love you guys! 💕❤️💕 . . . “As an artist, I was both witness and participant to the profound changes of the last couple of months. The need to express the emotional and intellectual challenges in a time of confusion went hand in hand with the need to remember what we all went through. These series express the lows and highs of the emotional rollercoaster we have all experienced during these surreal times. The figure motifs in any of my works are not characterised by any particular gender, age, religion, nationality or skin colour. They are symbols of flawed humanity and as such are the products of sensual reflection. Gratefully we had an amazing gallery launch before lockdown by the attendance of the Right Honourable the Lord Mayor Sandy Verschoor. I was feeling like a succulent cactus sometimes soft inside but judged outside on lockdown, so I draw this to pour out🖤 Fortunately, it was helpful and the result was good too!!
