For most of the mission Grace lied to rocky about him regressing and saying it was just normal adult human behaviour to do the babyish stuff he does to avoid an awkward conversation.
But on the trip to Erid Rocky obviously finds out that Grace is displaying a lot of human pebble behaviours by researching on the human thinking machine and discovers age regression.
And Rocky is annoyed. Obviously not at Grace regressing. But at the fact he could've been properly looking after his pebble this whole time!! But instead rocky was ignoring the behaviour because he thought Grace was being perfectly adultish!! WHY NOT TELL ROCKY, QUESTION?
Rocky doesn't have any other standard for humans and what they do so, he takes Grace's words at face value when Grace says that it's veeeeery much a normal human thing to drag a blankie around or to suck their thumb!
But, once Rocky has his human thinking machine he is like "hmm probable thinking machine show Rocky what human adults do."
And after a long night of researching Rocky closes the laptop and looks at the sleeping Grace because now he knows!! He's definitely annoyed, why did Grace feel the need to hide this?? Rocky would never be mean or judge him (heck, he's been semi-okay with watching Grace eat since day one for goodness sakes!)
When Grace is awake, Grace sheepishly explains how regression is sorta mocked a lot on earth, how people are kinda mean about things they don't understand and Grace was just sorta, afraid if he had told Rocky that Rocky would think less of him💔
Oooh Rocky makes it very clear to Grace that he'd NEVER think less of Grace for how he copes!! He wants to help Grace, make Grace feel comfortable and safe!
(And Rocky won't lie, now that it's out in the air, he's excited to actually properly care for his pebble the right way, the way that will be relaxing for both of them ;u; )
