I am going to be honest with you. I have always been a fan of rainy days mixed with thunder. I like cancelled plans and empty stores. And quiet roads on late nights. I like the calm Sunday mornings bring and all the freedom of summer mixed in with the Fourth of July lights. I like you too, it’s just that the timing was never right.

I knew I did from that first moment we met. It was… Not love at first sight exactly, but - familiarity. Like: oh, hello, it’s you. It’s going to be you.

And I understand. I understand why people hold hands: I’d always thought it was about possessiveness, saying ‘This is mine’. But it’s about maintaining contact. It is about speaking without words. It is about I want you with me and don’t go.
