As we all are going through this time with so many uncertainties and having to adjust our lives to a new way of doing things, be intentional with your family. Love on them. Talk to your kids about how they are feeling about everything. Ask them questions and engage them about what they may desire for their future. Ask your spouse how you can improve in the relationship. Day 1 of Homeschool was a for real challenge!! The kids were a bit flustered because they were out of their routine and so was I!! But Day 3 went a lot smoother. Thanks to my good homeschool friends who are gurus at this thing, I got a schedule down and we were able to stay on track...for the most part. Baby boy decided he wasn’t taking a real nap today and has been crying his head off for the last 2 hrs. Very abnormal but I think he just doesn’t want to miss out because everyone is home. Either way today was better than Day 1. Because of this new schedule, I’m trying to find ways to stay consistent up here. Gotta plan better, automate, and be more intentional about my time. Pray for us as we manage this new way of life. #Blacklove, much like most black movements, comes in response to a negative narrative that was previously pervasive. Stereotypes of single parents and deadbeat dads were at one point dominant. Black love gives voice and draws attention to the ignored black family that doesn’t fit those stereo types.
