Time hadn't been something worth keeping track of in a while. Less so down here, where there was no sun or moon or starshine, just bricks and iron, chains and all that was inside his head.
Nicolas had been writing. On the paper he'd been given. On the walls as well. Playing violin in-between, often discordant, disjointed and unsettling. His hair was chaos from how he'd pulled it and run his fingers through it. There was dried blood on his face, on his torn shirt, on his stomach, arms and chest and any other part he could get to with his own nails. All wounds healed at the moment, only his fingertips reddened from how much he'd played tonight.
When he heard Armand approach, he gathered his hair at the nape and looked around the cell as if there was any chance he could find a ribbon to tie it back. The door opened - heavy, too heavy for Nicolas' strength, he'd know, he had thrown himself against it before - and of course he knew whom to expect. The others wouldn't dare defy Armand by entering anyway, not just yet.
Abandoning the futile effort, Nicolas let go of his hair so it'd fall past his shoulders, staying seated on the floor with one knee casually pulled up to his chest. He wrapped an arm around his leg now, looking up to see Armand walk in. His eyes were lucid, his body language relaxed, even his voice was calm. Nothing that could not change in an instant.
"Thought you'd be Felix again. But then, he never opens the door."
"Again? Is he still so determined to come visit you and soothe your wounded soul?" Armand was not unaware of the younger immortal boys that visited Nicolas time and time again during his imprisonment. It seemed no matter how volatile Nicolas was they couldn't resist seeing him. It was almost a surprise they were not often crying over the cruel words Nicolas might spit like vemon in their direction.
Approaching the small immortal kneeled beside his manic musician and began combing his hair. There was a sweetness to it as he cradled the hair in his hands whenever encountering a knot to work it free without pulling at the scalp. It was a show of what mood he was in as he was grasping fist full of hair to drag Nicolas toward him.
"Do you wish to walk with me tonight?" It was test of his mental state. A test if Armand needed to prepare to subdue Nicolas or if he would later willingly return to his cage. Perhaps he would invite Nicolas into his coffin. Pinning him behind him would keep the man from causing any trouble until Armand woke.
Have you ever thought about what might have happend if you had met mortal Lestat without the cult being a factor, perhaps after it had been dissolved or before you ever joined? Would you have felt drawn to him still?
Mortal Lestat would have been a much more depressing meeting. The cult would have not been a factor regardless as the reason Lestat was hated was due to his maker Magnus, mortal Lestat would not have that mark against him. I do not believe I would have been drawn to him in my immortal life, he was different in mortal life than immortal life. I was drawn to him for many reasons when he was turned but at a mortal he would never understand me nor I him.
Would you rather wake up to piano or violin?
Unless I've decided to behave as Lestat does and be catatonic for an extended period neither are an option but I would opt for the violin.

Comfortable silence.
Then, of course, there's the period of the night devoted to discussing our exes and laughing.
Yes, do not forget the eye masks and nail polish.
The pillow fight starts before that, not after, or we'll ruin our beauty routine. Obviously.
That is after we change into our matching pajamas. Lestat's music is always playing in the background.

I was going through old commissions saved on my phone and found this gem.
$1 to have someone poorly draw any character you want but you had to describe them. This was the result for Armand and I still have this somewhere buried in my house.

Who are the loves of your life and why?
This feels like a childish way to attempt to create tension. Love does not have to be romantic, do know this.

I would not wish to compare Daniel to anyone. No one has the same look of mischief in their eyes while managing to look as though he has been in a drunken haze for twenty years longer than he's lived. Part of Daniel's charm is how he'll tell you to shut up as he doesn't care but you can see him writing a journal with every word you spoke to detail back how you are an immortal idiot.
