She was finally getting somewhere with this guy. She’d needed information for a few days now and this was the third person she’d looked like to try and get it from him. And he was so fucking close to giving her what she needed, she could practically see the words about to come out of his mouth when she hears humming, and the man, with a panicked look in his eyes, takes off down the other end of the alley. Paige whipped around at the sound of her brother’s voice and immediately drops her appearance, looking like herself again. “What the hell, Parker?” she walks closer. “I was so close to finally getting that guy to crack.” Paige lets out a heavy sigh, shaking her head. “Is that really how you go around? You just talk to people who could be up to dangerous shit in the alleys? That’s a good way to get yourself stabbed or something, you know.”
On instinct, Parker stuck his tongue out at his twin before she’d even said everything she wanted to, and by the time she shut up again, he was just sort of sneering. She wasn’t any fun. “I fuckin’ dare someone to stab me! I’ll take the knife out of me and get them twice!” he answered, and he meant it. “Plus, turns out it’s you so that’s even less fun than getting stabbed.” Faking a gag, Parker ambled his way down the alley, wondering where that guy went. “You know, I bet he’d talk a lot faster if you’d hit him or somethin’.”

Turning toward the sound of the voice as he spoke, Whitney finished adjusting her clothes into place. She hoped the guy hadn’t been standing there the whole time. Though she wasn’t inherently shy with her body (the outfits she wore dancing at Wonderland showing a lot of skin) it would be pretty sketchy if he’d watched her fiddle with her undergarments for longer than the initial accidental glance. Whit had stepped off the street specifically to fix herself up privately…but she also couldn’t be upset at the stranger for happening to walk past at the wrong moment.
“You know if I told you, I’d have to kill you,” she replied dryly, shrugging off whatever judgement he might be making of her in his head and moving to walk on past him.
It took him a moment to register exactly what was going on, but once he figured out that there was a lady and she didn’t recently have all of her clothes where they were now, Parker couldn’t help but snicker. And then when she threatened him, the snicker turned into a full laugh.
“You could try,” he answered happily, letting his head tilt to one side, narrowing his eyes at her. “I don’t think it would work though...” She seemed vaguely familiar, and once that clicked into place, he smiled. “I’ve seen you before! Wonderland, right? Maybe you could kill me, then.” That would be a funny way for him to go, at least. “Wanna try?”
Parker’s brain was officially shut off for the day. He was way too much caffeine and a work day from normal, and so was wandering around town aimlessly, hoping to either find some shit to get into or for his powers to recharge. Either one worked for him. Humming, he turned a corner, and came to an abrupt stop, staring down an alley. Now, it wasn’t anything definitely shady...but it could be.
“What’s goin’ on here?” he asked brightly, with a bit of a smirk aimed at the figure between the buildings. “Anything fun?”
The night had been uneventful so far, he’s tended to some people trying the game, give small prizes and made his fair effort to make passer-by’s interested by the dynamic of the game, inviting them to come and make part of it. After some long minutes of it, it was hard to keep talking loudly to invite others, so he turned around seeking his bottle of water and when he straightened up to drink of it he felt a hit on his shoulder that made him tense and look around like a deer caught in lights.
“W-What?” The offending item fell to the floor, he eyed it then the stranger and blinked in confusion. “Uh, no… sorry but prizes are won only by having enough strength, you could try though. A ticket gets you 2 tries.” He offered kindly enough, trying not to mind he hit him with a water bottle.
Parker crossed his arms on the ‘porch rail’ of the haunted house, leaning out over it and raising his eyebrows. “Man, I’m doin’ this over here for free, you think I got money to waste on trusting my arms? Just toss that uh...” Parker squinted at the toys near the muscle man. “The snake! I got a great idea for it!”
In the back of his mind, Parker realized that he definitely wasn’t going for his original plan of theft, but this was a lot funnier. “I will trade you...” He glanced around, thinking. “I’m pretty sure we got some kind of possum or somethin’ over here. It’s stuffed.” He knew that much. He’d been the one to take the thing to get taxidermized.
Naveen liked horror as much as the next guy; anything that got your blood pumping was a worthwhile activity in his opinion. And if he craved a little excitement after much of his had been spent sitting around at a kissing booth—not as fun as it sounded on the surface—the haunted house seemed like the perfect attraction to visit.
One of the costumed performer’s jump-scares had just given him a good startle, but he was already laughing in the next moment. “Ah, well, you cannot scare me more than my bank account,” he joked.
Parker’s mind blanked so hard at the joke that he nearly blinked the yellow out of his eyes. One minute he’d been having fun, and now this. Sass. Sass in his house of horrors. The audacity.
“Did I at least get you worse than when you look in a mirror, or would that be too hard?” he shot back, slumping against the dark wall behind him, knowing that he had at least a little time before the next person wandered in. He hadn’t heard the screaming yet.

He should have been paying more attention to where he was going, sure—but he hadn’t run into the guy on purpose. Ken was automatically ready to speak up, to diffuse the situation, but when he looked at the face of the man who was all-but-growling at him, the only sound that came out was a choked sort of scream. It took a moment to compose himself, his heart still pounding from the excitement.
“Holy shit, dude…” It seemed that he didn’t even have to go into the haunted house for the attraction to find him. He had to see the humor in the situation, even if he wondered whether there shouldn’t be a rule about the workers taking their costumes off before mingling with the crowd. “Sorry, it’s hard to look away. That FX makeup is scary-good.”
Parker registered the next few words out of the guy’s mouth as a compliment, so he relaxed just as easily as he’d gotten angry. Absently, as sort of a habit he mirrored the other, standing the same way but without the fear. “Yeah, it’s pretty sick, huh?” he said proudly, chomping his sharp teeth together for effect. “Did it myself.”
As he usually did with new people, Parker studied the man in front of him, before finally speaking again. “So, like...how did you know to be impressed and not just scared?” Because he could fix that next time. He liked having more than one scare a conversation, after all.
Parker looked across at the strongman game, wondering exactly how easy it might be for him to steal some shit off old Herc. It would be easier if he was someone else, but he’d just timed out his last Look and needed a little bit of a break before he could look like anything other than Parker. It was annoying, but he’d just have to deal.
And dealing meant that he was throwing a water bottle at Herc’s head because he could. “Hey, trade ya for one of those prizes!” he yelled, once it had made contact with Herc’s shoulder. @bcrnstar
Parker stretched absently, walking out of the back of the haunted house and not bothering to shift any of his face back to where it was supposed to be. In his defense, there wasn’t anything different about him that couldn’t be explained with makeup and contacts, so he decided to keep the bright yellow eyes and pointed teeth for his caffeine break. The poor sons of bitches inside the house would just have to deal with his sister’s less fun scares.
With a sigh, Parker threw his head back on the way to the soft drinks...and someone ran into him. “Fuckin’ watch it!” he snapped at the guy, mouth pulling into a sort of snarl on instinct. “...What are you lookin’ at?” @carsoncouture

Jack did not often go to town, but he never missed a chance to swing by Lucky Cat Cafe on days he did. The place had some excellent pumpkin pie, and he was also a sucker for the honey-infused pumpkin pie. He was currently waiting his turn in line to place an order, absentmindedly looking at the menu, when his attention drifted towards the door at the sound of the little bell giving away someone entering. His lips curled into a friendly smile as the individual approached the line, deciding it wouldn’t hurt to attempt to make a friend. “Hello,” he greeted, “I seem to have a bit of a problem here. I can’t seem to make up my mind on what kind of beverage to have today. I was wondering, would you humor me a bit? I could use some help deciding on a beverage if you don’t mind. For your troubles, I’d be delighted to offer to pay for your drink.”
Parker didn’t go into cafes much, considering they were somehow always too crowded and too calm, but here he was, ambling into line because he was running on about three hours of sleep and even more hours of non-stop transformation practice. Naturally, he was making an appearance for too much espresso. Spaced out and focused on the board, trying to remember which dumb words got him which dumb drink, Parker didn’t notice that someone was speaking to him until about halfway through whatever they were saying. “Hm? You’ll pay?” At least he heard the important part. “You look like....a peppermint mocha man,” Parker told the guy, with just enough confidence to sound like he wasn’t just picking random stuff off the menu board. “I need an iced americano with an extra shot of espresso.” And he’d add a bunch of stuff in a minute.

- Parker has wanted a pet rottweiler since childhood but has never gotten one. He knows his own temper and knows what rottweilers can be like if they aren’t trained well, and even though he thinks he’d look cool with one, he wants to make sure the moneymaker that is his face stays intact.
- Parker is actually surprisingly good at fixing drywall. This is a carry over from childhood when he used to have to fix holes that he left in his walls. He’s mostly stopped punching walls when he’s very frustrated, but it still happens every so often.
- Parker has a pretty big collection of shoes. When he knows he’s going to have work to do, he wears the same worn pair of steel-toed boots, but he also has multiple pairs of expensive sneakers that he keeps obsessively clean. If anyone gets them dirty on purpose, Parker will most likely stab as a warning.
- Parker’s relationship with his sister is…complicated. He resents her more than just a little, because her magic is stronger than his and she won’t even use it for anything that he thinks is useful. She frustrates him when she’s nervous, which is too often for him, and he hates that she’s so soft when she’s more powerful than he is. But, she’s still his sister, and there’s loyalty there. He would body slam her over a stick of gum, no questions asked, but he gets intensely protective of her if anyone else causes her problems. In short, he’s an older brother. Even if he’s only older by a few minutes.
- Magic is the main reason Parker is the way he is. He thinks he wouldn’t be so constantly frustrated with Paige if only his magic was a little stronger, if only he could shapeshift a little more accurately. Most people don’t notice when a detail is off, but the fact that his twin can do something that he can’t and won’t even use that power right? It makes him angry. Some of the edge is taken off the anger when he uses his power, because it feels good, but that’s only if he doesn’t have to see Paige doing the same trick.
- If someone knows about his powers, Parker likes to imply that at least half of all Tony Hawk sightings are actually him, which is why nobody believes that Tony Hawk is actually Tony Hawk when they see him.
- Parker likes to read comics. Most of the time, he picks up horror comics, but one of his prized possessions is his copy of the entire Bone collection. Not only is Bone a good series, but the comic is over 1000 pages, so it could make a good weapon if he needed it to be one.
- Parker never paid much attention in school, so it’s not rare for him to use the wrong big word in the wrong place.
Except for thirteen minutes of his life it’s always been Parker and his twin brother Paige. He was the older one and always held that over Paige. Still, the two were close as can be and did everything together. It was Parker who first started showing magical abilities. His family was waiting for the day the twins showed it as the past few generations of their family had a magical ability of some sort. Parker and Paige’s were the first of their kind though, being able to shapeshift into any person at will. The power wore off after a while though so there was always an internal timer. Growing up Parker was insanely jealous of his sister. Her magic was stronger and lasted longer than his. Some days he felt she didn’t deserve it because she had so much anxiety that it often screwed up and she would resort back to her normal self. Parker assured her that he would help her but mostly wanted to tell her to toughen up.
From a young age it was evident that Parker was different than Paige. He was crueler and liked to use their magic for mean pranks on their peers. Paige went along with it for the most part but he knew she didn’t always enjoy it. When he was in his preteens he began to hurt animals for fun and as he grew older it became people. Paige told him to stop and that using this power for cruelty wasn’t right. He didn’t listen though and instead pressured her to do the same. Eventually Parker went too far though. It was supposed to be some Halloween fun but things went wrong and someone ended up dead. Parker panicked for the first time in his life and he needed to make the problem go away. Being a person with magic you hear whispers about others with similar abilities. Hades’ ability wasn’t necessarily similar but Parker had heard about him. He ran a mortuary in town but that was only a front for his real business. Hades could revive the dead but only for a short time and they were only a former shell of themselves. So, Parker ran to him and explained his situation. He all but begged Hades for help. Everything came with a price when it came to Hades though and Parker was willing to pay whatever it took. He didn’t know that it would be him and Paige’s lives though.
Hades had agreed to help Parker but only if he helped Hades in return. See, Hades was a deal maker and he needed someone to help collect debts. Parker didn’t think it would be too bad. He had a mean streak himself and was willing to rough people up. The catch was that his twin sister had to help though. There was always a price with Hades. Parker would have protested but Hades sort of scared him. He felt bad dragging Paige into his problem but he had no choice. Hades made his issue go away and in return the twins signed their lives away. Paige wasn’t happy but she did whatever she had to to help her brother. As time went by the tasks Hades sent the twins to do got worse. Parker thrived on it but Paige was terrified. Parker did his best to keep his sister calm but he wasn’t always able to. He knew she wanted a normal life and he had come to accept that his life would always be with Hades. If he could he would find a way to get Paige out of the game but he knows Hades values her because of how strong her ability is. She can always shift perfectly whereas sometimes the eye color or height is just slightly off when Parker does. He practices his power but no matter how hard he tries he can’t pass up Paige and that really pisses him off.
🌹Opinions on Magic:
He sees it as a gift and knows he shouldn’t mess around with it as much as he does but he can’t resist.
🌹Connections:
Megara Trakas: Parker has the hots for her. He knows she’s not as trusted as him and Paige so he often rubs it in her face, not that she really cares.
Hercules Vakalapoulos : Parker knows when the day comes he will be ready to off the guy but he also knows Hades is playing the long game with him. He sort of feels bad for Herc though. He didn’t really seem to do anything wrong but what Hades says goes.
Aurora Rose: He met her by chance and fell head over heels for her. She’s beautiful and Parker is pretty sure she’s hiding something but he isn’t quite sure what that is yet.
