Aegon had found himself back at Void, it seemed like many souls were wandering around the place, killed by some of the vampires that laid within. This night, however, was quieter than most. Despite being pulled there, he found himself ready to go home, coming out of an alleyway and becoming visible once more. A vampire’s presence wasn’t unusual, but the voice that was paired with it was a blast from the past. “Otto,” he came to a stop, pushing his hands into his pockets now as he looked around, “What does it look like? I’m fine. I’m here, aren’t I?” He managed a smile, huffing out a laugh, “Why are you half way across the world?”

“Well you aren’t a witch anymore.” Otto listened for the sound of the other’s heartbeat, a rhythm he’d become so familiar with in the time that they had known each other - but there was nothing. The scents that passed through the air were trash from the alley that Aegon had come out of, the bakery down the street, the blood pumping in the bar at his back. But before Otto had had difficulty restraining himself from the other, at all times he wanted to bury his fangs in the witch’s neck and drink the magic within. Otto had no such urge now. “Are you-” no heartbeat, no blood. Otto was never going to be a scholar but he could at least put this much together. “you’re dead.”
