Mayhem's appearance has hardly changed over the years. Some evening, after all this nightmare started, Draxum explained that Mayhem is a specific kind of Yokai. To them, he was merely a means to an end. Replaceable. So when he found his place with the Mad Dogs, he left that past behind. In the end it was April who gave Mayhem a reason to fight til the end.

Draxum explained that Guardians have the ability to connect with someone's soul, just once in their entire life. Because they need more to protect than just an object. They need something to really fight for. To life for.

Of course, Mayhem had always fought and would do anything for his family and friends, but the connection he has with April is something very special. It was only thanks to this connection that he was able to awaken his Guardian Form. A larger and stronger form created to protect the bond between himself and April. To make it perfectly clear, the two now share one lifeline. What one feels, the other feels. If one dies, the other dies too. This form is powerful, but it also drains a lot of energy, so it's important for Mayhem to rest well after use. In addition to his ability to teleport, the Guardian form allows him to control a blue mystic fire. It's hotter than normal fire, but he decides who it burns. April or his friends could touch it, and if Mayhem decides, it wouldn't be dangerous for the others, but rather pleasant, like a warm mist.
