For those who find reading directionally opposite challenging or otherwise inaccessible, there are several US translating houses that offer both translated and mirrored manga that can be read left to right. Beware, however, that just as painted art loses some of its context out of order, so will mirroring. Happy reading!

Wow, I am probably WAYYY late in replying to this, but sure! Okay, so white and black are more or less what you’d expect. White = good, happy, positive feelings. Black = negative, sad, creepy, etc. You’ll often see a lot of white when a character smiles and a lot of black when a character is all alone. Stars (the diamond shape) are usually used when somebody is being a cocky little shit and smiles or when somebody does something exceptionally noteworthy. My favorite random manga shape is the pentagon though. I have no idea why on earth a 5 sided shape like that means someone is falling/is already in love, but it’s hilarious. Hope that helps!
