The book focuses on the story of a Catalan Pyrenean village across several generations, telling us how its characters live through interwoven stories. What’s particularly interesting is that the author has given voice to the mountains, the spirits, the storms, and the plants that inhabit the village, adding their “songs” to those of the people who dwell in the mountains.
