SO after writing this up and checking on Newgrounds/Twitter for people I follow on here a friend recommends I look at my blog to see if I’ve been potentially flagged and
This isn’t the only one either. About 3 or 4 of my drawings got flagged (NOT including my other blog which has my older art on it)
I don’t even post NSFW/18+ content on this blog either
If you aren’t by now leaving this website, you SHOULD, the fact that people are getting punished because Tumblr decided to act on the fact it was hosting disgusting amounts of child pornography only after Apple booted it off its App Store for it is so stupid and so surreal, this website’s going to be a dried husk by New Years in my estimation
Twitter and Newgrounds are far greater options now; I’d recommend Newgrounds for a variety of reasons, some of which being
- You aren’t punished for posting irregular content (NSFW, unpopular political opinions, etc as long as it’s legal and you aren’t harassing/stalking people it’s okay)
- The website is in all ways designed for artists and content creators from the ground up, you are rewarded for contributing to the community at large not only with your art but your review of other people’s art, collaborating, etc.
- You aren’t limited to just discussing things on your art posts like with Twitter and Tumblr, there’s a dedicated forum for discussing multiple things, not only art or interests pertaining to art.
- This only really reflects on Twitter but the limit on characters on Newground varies from 255 to +10000 depending on what you’re writing/posting, much more availability
- Newgrounds TELLS you and other people how your images can be distributed, as well as allowing you to adjust limitations on the distribution of your art under creative commons.
- It isn’t going to mass flag 60% of your posts because it assigned a stupid fucking bot to do the job
If I follow you and I haven’t seen your links to different websites; please DM me or reply with the link(s), I’m trying to keep up with the change
