¹. all information and lore here is entirely original, please do not take any inspiration from it. all creative rights to myself and affiliated group.
². when i say activity on this blog will be slow i genuinely mean it. due to life the activity here will be wildly sporadic. i don't expect quick responses from my writing partners and so i hope for the same considerations. feel free to ask for my discord for brain rotting but that may be just as slow as writing is sometimes. tl;dr is my speed =/= my interest in our plots!!
³. due to the above rule and how often i can be here this blog is mutuals only and will be highly selective. i will softblock if i don't expect to follow back, personal blogs will be blocked. mutuals may approach at anytime (and please do!)
⁴. no ns/fw content will be present on this blog and i will not follow blogs with heavy mat/ure content. however, triggering content may be present on this blog and i will do my best to tag. that being said, minors will not be followed on this blog either due to personal comfort.

WORLD
set in a world where demons on the brink of death can house themselves in dying humans, whether by force or by agreement
the circumstances occur randomly, by luck, or by plan. though, in most cases it is due to haphazard, split - second decisions by both parties
demon souls can be split across multiple people, but this is incredibly rare. their abilities / powers / enhancements will typically manifest in their vessels, but the speed at which it presents itself varies and can take from as quick as minutes to years
vessels in this universe are referred to as “ dire ”, especially when they are unaffiliated, rogue, defectors, or corrupt.
there exists a central organization that has asserted itself in the beginning of time as the main enforcer and protector of the human world, dedicated to maintaining order and balance, taming chaos. they're referred to as venkari, a sub - set of dire and more formally recognized. one of their main jobs is to keep track of newly turned dire so that they can be recruited or eliminated. recruits into the organization are trained and educated to hunt demons, dire that are considered threats, and other supernatural creatures that pose a danger to human society. venkari largely exist in the shadows, its agents typically living double lives. the organization is vast and has numerous branches, hierarchies, and traditions. the many branches and hierarchies has historically caused numerous issues across history and promotes an unstable foundation of unity.
dire who refuse to join the organization are typically free to go, but they are kept on a short list as targets should they screw up in any manner.
dire / venkari are not immortal by default, but there are measures to ensure this. typically frowned upon.
BIO
aklla had nearly died at the age of three when she had ventured too far into the inky black waters of the sea behind the summer home. her aunt and uncle, her legal guardians at the time, hadn’t thought much about the night swim until they could no longer see the girl.
she was rescued quickly and sent to the hospital where her revival became the talk of the small town.
soon after she’s back home, her abnormal behaviour starts. as a girl so young with a demon so old in her body, her body had a very difficult time adjusting. she would wake up in the middle of the night in tremors, her inquisitive curiosity grew more and more dangerous and ever so slowly it seemed like the spark of life had drained from her eyes entirely.
the last straw came when the house was plunged into an eerie darkness and the girl began speaking tongues the couple had never heard. they had tolerated enough after aklla’s mother had ended up in jail and left them with a child they never asked for. they dropped her off at the foot of the nearest orphanage and didn’t look back as the girl stared silently at their receding silhouette.
she was picked up by the agency within a week and handed over to the head scientist that had been following the demon now residing in the little girl. a sort of partnership formed between the two, the closest thing aklla ever got to a parental figure.
aklla learns through the agency how to hone her control of shadows. the ability coupled with the girl’s emotionless demeanour earns her a reputation and most people avoid her in the agency. not many venkari enjoy being teamed up with the girl. despite always completing the mission, she rarely followed instructions which often put herself and her partners in dangerous situations.
she goes rogue the minute she turns eighteen and the agency no longer has any legal precedence over her.
aklla doesn’t necessarily hunt for hire, she simply takes enjoyment in the gory process of killing demons. she treats her kills like an experiment. with a knack and interest in the sciences, she tests out new weapons, poisons and attacks on the demons she hunts often sabotaging other venkaris kills or missions to get what she wants.
