“I’ve travelled many different regions by myself with my Pokemon by my side, this region is no different.”
He looks around the dark streets of Spikemuth and laughs slightly to himself. He hasn’t seen such a run down town since Pyrite Town back in Orre. Who ran this place anyway? What a mess of a place it was. Spray paint everywhere you looked. Trash in the streets. Barely anyone around but gang looking people…It was probably crawling with baddies everywhere ready to steal Pokemon. He couldn’t let that happen again.
He suddenly felt a nerve thinking about it.
“So, who are you?” He looks at the stranger eye to eye. “And what’s with the get up?”
“…Piers. I’m the one who runs this town.”
[ Shoots a cold stare at Wes. ]
“I’m guessin’ you’re not here for a gym battle, huh?”
He quietly looked at Wes, scanning him from head to toe to get an idea of where he came from or the reasoning why he was here of all places.
“Who are you and why are you here anyway?”
“Wes.” He replied cautiously.
This guy ran this place? He needed to be careful about this.
“You wouldn’t know...” He paused and took a picture of Celebi out of his pocket to show to Piers, “You wouldn’t have seen this Pokemon around here?”
Hah, as if. Celebi in a run down place like this? Why was he even bothering?

He looked over at the tall, slender man and coughed slightly. The stranger was right, he was completely lost. Galar was new to him and he knew no one and got help from no one. He was still on his mission to find that mystical healing Pokemon from before...
“No, I’m fine. Thanks.” Wes mumbled, “I know exactly where I am.”
He lied through his teeth.
He was, in fact, very lost.

“Null is just fine. They evolved actually. Their name is Silvally now. Came up with it myself.”
A fusion of the words silver and ally. A bit cheesy perhaps, but to be fair, he’d been young.
“And they’re definitely the reason that I’ve gotten as far as I have.”
His tone turned a tad wistful.
“I honestly think I’d still be trapped in that hellscape if it wasn’t for them.”
He couldn’t help but to chuckle a bit.
“They evolved?! That is... incredible.” He paused for a moment and looked down at Espeon, “I bet Espeon would like to see an old friend.”
“Racking up as much as I can in terms of achievements so when I come back, I can shove it in my mother’s face.”
There’s a slight bitter edge to his tone, but a familiar one. It’s not as if Gladion makes it a secret how much he detests his mother to anyone who has spent a little amount of time with him at least, and considering how long the two had known each other, it was definitely not unusual for Wes to hear.
“Mm, I think the Colosseum and Battle Tower would be similar, yeah.”
He remembered how much Gladion despised his mother from the last time they got to spend time together while on their separate travels.
He frowned slightly at the thought, “How is Null anyway? Racking up those badges for you I imagine.”
It has been awhile since their last encounter. He would have no idea that Type: Null can even evolve since such a Pokemon is still new to him. But the thought of a Pokemon being abused for science always keeps lingering in his mind. Knowing he too, has saved many Pokemon from evil scientists who wanted to use them for their own greed.

Gladion leaned down to hand over some rainbow beans to Espeon in one smooth motion before shifting his attention back up to Wes.
“I’ve got five Championships under my belt, Wes, I’d say it’s going just fine.” He gave a soft chuckle. “The only ones I’ve got left are Sinnoh, Galar, and Alola. But I’m not doing Alola until I’ve got the others.”
“Saving the hometown for last?” Wes grinned while watching Espeon eat. “Too bad Orre didn’t have such things. The gym leaders, the Pokemon Leagues... There is only a battle Colosseum there. I think you call it... a battle tower of sorts around these parts?”
